Together against racism

Demonstration in Helsinki, April 21

More than 200 people took part in the demonstration. The march ended at the House of Parliament, where speeches were held by Iraqi and Somalian immigrants, representatives of FNAR, Red Cross, and the human rights group of the parliament.

Basics

People in Finland have to become conscious of the threat of racism, so that we can prevent the political rise of extreme right-wing parties and the neonazi activity that has already surfaced around the country.

This important goal is best achieved be organizing ourselves into a nationwide, politically neutral network, which is open to everybody who wants to participate.

Our activity is based on transmitting information - specifically, we want to help grassrootlevel operators (youth center personnel, teachers etc.) use the latest research results, transmit experience from the grassrootlevel to decision makers and raise the peoples consciousness of the factual atmosphere of intolerance and racist attitudes prevailing in our society.
