CHRIS FLOWERS
PLAYS: Acoustic guitar, lead vocals, back vocals, harmony's.
LOVE LETTERS INFLUENCES: Jewel, Becca White, Sarah McLachlan, Lifehouse.
Chris Flowers, born in 1980, was first inspired to play guitar by the
grunge era of the mid 90's, thriving on bands such as Bush, Korn, and
Nirvana. Through the influences of his friends, he soon turned to
Christian and straight-edge punk, hardcore, and heavy metal music. His
taste in music has now varied to almost everything, except for country
and classical. Chris didn't start playing the acoustic guitar until his
late high school years, when he first experienced the depo. He then began
to write and play emotionally-driven, acoustic guitar ballads. It wasn't
until he met songwriter/piano player, Rebekah White, that Chris was
influeneced to team up with longtime friend Jeremy Ruch and put his music
to practice. He is currently attending Flagler College in St. Augustine,
Florida, where he continues to write new material for the Love Letters.
