This past semester a school-wide competition was held to design a memorial to the September 11th tragedy that would serve as an outdoor classroom for Tulane's campus. Ten winners were selected and formed into a studio platform group. Over the course of the semester, we continued to develop the scheme based on each of our initial competition designs. Out final project was composed of a final model to be presented to the campus planning board, final presentation boards to be presented to several fund-raising committees, and an initial set of construction drawings and a cost analysis to be given to the contractor. This $400,000.00 project will actually be built by the University. Construction is due to start next semester. The project was guided by Professor Byron Mouton and Professor Ila Berman.
