JULY 2003

Ok, no more small picture of me in my updates, because..well, to make a long story short, me and my brother got in a fight (to the point where he pulled a knife on me) and then tried to destroy my computer, he demanded his camera back, so, it's in his room. Whatever.
Okay, so, lots of things have happend. Well, like, 2 weeks ago, we played a show in Valenica, at the American Legion Hall. The draw wasn't very big, but the great part about the whole thing, was that we met the guitar player (Ray) for the band that was after us, and after our set, he offered us studio time... Yadda Yadda.. he comes to our practice, gives us some pointers, and after that, we all were outside of Sean's house for 6 hours, just talking about things. We all finally left at 4AM. Saturday came, and Chris, Sean, and I headed to the studio. The place was owned by The Black Eye'd Peas, and costs $1,500 a day to use... but since Ray's helping us out, it only costs us $100, which is a fucking steal. 4 hours go by, and Sean FINALLY finished his drum parts. He pretty much blanked out on the song, and kept fucking up.. over... and over.. and over.. and over... Took him over 45 takes to complete. By the end of the 4 hours, Chris left, and returned with Manny. After Sean was all done, my guitar was recorded, then Chris, then Manny, then my vocals. We got there at 11AM, and left around.. 6 or 7 something. Would have left much earlier if Sean wasn't so.. uhh.. yeah. So, we got a copy of the song, and even though it's not done (still has mixing to do) it still sounds really cool. We have 4 more songs to do, and once it's all done, it will really be a good thing. We can't wait to start handing them out to people, because I honestly have a good feeling about this. With studio time like this, it can only be uphill from here. A lot of problems with bands is that the quality of there demo's aren't that great, ours is professional. Yep. Here we come!

So, what else... I haven't worked in awhile.. my job keeps canceling me. Which, sucks, cuz I need money. Uhhhmmm.. Manny turned 18, and him and I are going to Warped Tour this Wednesday (9th). I'm sure there's more, but fortunally, it's short and sweet this time. Plus, I don't feel like updating right now. Anyway, cya later.
