This was a special set-up I sold a couple of years back.




Head assembly has 4 heads:
Erase, playback 2-track, record 2-track, playback 4-track.
"Notice the switch changing 2-track to 4-track on the head-assembly"
Custom-cabinet was made of oak, measures:
23 inches tall, 10 deep, 17-1/2 wide.
Air-vents on the top for ventilation + cross-support on the back.
Free-standing and mounted to the aluminum frame.
The deck had 4 rubber-feets mounted.
Total height with dbx and Eq 29 inches.

Among the many professional features of the MX-5050 series are:
direct drive motors, no belts in this machine.
a built in test and cue-tone oscillator.
Front adjustable record bias, equalization + level controls.
XLR type connectors for microphones L + R.
Adjustable output control.
(2) VU meters with peak indicator.
LED counter showing, hours minutes and seconds.
Memory stop for automatically stopping the tape
while in the rewind mode at a desired position.
All components of the tape transport are mounted on a rigid 
aluminum frame for stability.
The transport design incorporates two 6-pole induction motors
for the reel-motors and a 3 speed dc servo-motor for the capstan.
Speed: 3-3/4, 7-1/2 and 15.
1/4 inch standard tape from 5 inch -10-1/2 size.
Easy soft touch controls for the transport.
Original remote control with 16 feet cord.
New made patch-cords from XLR>RCA connections to the EQ and DBX.
When using this set-up:
 only regular RCA input and output from the amplifier is needed.

This machine provides both NAB and IEC equalizers
switchable on the rear panel.
This model can play both 2-track and 4-track tapes.
Recording can only be made in 2-track.
