Testimony
My name is Shawn D. And I am 15 years old. I am The leader of Ravin4Christ. My testimony is quiet a story. My whole life I've lived without a "father." When I was only 29 days old my physical dad was arrest for a murder he did not commit. He was tried and convicted of 1st degree murder and was sentanced to death. He has been on Death row ever since. Then my mother met a man who would later father my little brother Kyle. Things in the begianing weren't so bad but then he bacame an Acholic, and then became abusive. He would both mentaly and physical beat you for doing what he called foolish things( Even if these things were so petty as tieing the trash bag wrong, or not letting the washer machine fill up with water before adding cloths) My mom was with this man for 9 LONG years. At the time she had no where else to go and was afraid to leave him so I really cant blame her for that. When we finally did leave we moved in with my grandmother, and stayed there until we could get on our feet. From there we moved into a little 2 bedroom apartment. During this time I began going to church and became a rather strong person in the spirit. But I back slid because of the people I was hanging around and the things I was exposed to. I starting using drugs, marijuana mostly but I did experiment with things such as extacy, acid, and mushrooms. During this time I was only about 13 years old. While we were living in the apartment my mom met a man who later would move in with us. Soon after he moved in we all got our own house. Later we would learn that this man was a crack attic. His adiction would later cause us to lose our house and move mack in with my grandmother. I'm now about 14. I began getting ion trouble at school, and about 6 month ago was expelled for greating a web site about the school staff. After this my mothre did the best thing she has ever done for me and started making me go to church with her. It didn't take long for me to get my life turned around after that. I quit using drugs. I began t study and read the bible more every day. Today I am a Uth leader at my church and I'm more on fire for God than ever. I am at church 4 to 5 nights a week and I wouldn't want it any other way...
