- The first update in a while due to my other commitments, not to mention a virus on my hard drive (Damn IBM's). More info to come on the release dates of the USB + Ethernet cartridges.
- New project announced!: IDE Hard drive/ CDROM controller that plugs into the cartridge port. This device has been released by some companies, only in short runs. This version will promise wide availability, ease of use and most of all- will be cheap!

- Chipsets for the upcoming USB/Ethernet cartridge have been announced. They are as follows:
- USB driver- Cypress SL811HS
- Ethernet- Realtek 8019AS
The new Cypress USB chipset allows for host control and duel USB ports.

- Atari ST USB driver updated. New design allows for external input (cartridge port) of device. Therefore the USB adaptor will function on any ST compatible computer with a cartridge port. The adaptor will also include an ethernet interface for networking. All this on a single cartridge! Prototypes will be ready by christmas. Estimated cost will be around AU$69, US$35. Stay tuned.

- News released regarding mystery Atari ST portable project. The project is well under way with further PCB designs currently in development. Current specifactions have been released, pending further changes. Refer to the STp page for details.
- Currently the system sports:
- 20Mhz micro MC68000 incorporating L2 cache and FPU coprocessor
- A 5-inch colour TFT screen
- Compact flash card ROM storage (up to 1gb)
- Atari ST Tos 2.06, sound chip, memory manager, shifter etc
- 8mb ram
- Onboard USB controller
- Slimline flip top case with micro ST compatible keyboard and trackball
- VGA and composite video compatible display modes (Hi-res, medium-res and low-res)
- First Atari ST/Falcon USB controller announced. The proposed board will include two USB ports for peripherals. This opens up a whole new world for Atari ST and Falcon owners who have dreamt of connecting such devices as cameras, scanners, cdroms, hard drives etc to their beloved Ataris.
