Greetings:
First let me introduce myself. My name is Walter Leon Looney.
I was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on January 17, 1965. I grew
up in Albuquerque as well. I met my first wife, Pamala Marie Schaller,
on December 23, 1990, and we were married on August 10, 1991. On
November 6, 1992 my wife and I had a stillborn baby that we named Joseph
Isaac Looney. My daughter, Tiffany Joy Looney, was born June 28,
1996. Unfortunately, my first wife Pamala died on February 6, 2002,
and I became a single parent. Consequently, I was forced to ask myself
some very difficult questions such as: “How can I be the best father
possible? What kind of job do I really want to have and what must I do
to obtain that kind of job?” Deep down I knew that I really wanted
to be a teacher. Therefore, I sought advice from my friends, my family
and my pastor, Michael J. Mullins. I was advised to return to school
and obtain the education and credentials necessary to fulfill this dream.
Thus, I returned to school at Albuquerque TVI Community College in the
spring term 2001. I also received grief counseling.
I met my current wife Arlene A. Chavez in January 2001. We were
married on December 15, 2001, and are still happily married today.
