MVAM109 For sale this is a new MVAM109 old stock Varactor Diode used to tune the AM broadcast band. The MVAM109 Tuning Diode has a range of about 20pf to 450pf. The MVAM109 Varactor Tuning Diodes are no longer made if you have a project using them get them while you can. The MVAM109 are being sold for less than the newer replacement part. Used in many Ham Radio and Amateur Radio circuits mostly for remote tuning of Loop-Antennas.

MVAM108 For sale this MVAM108 is a very rare item. These are new old stock items. This MVAM108 Varacitor is used the same way as the MVAM109 but has it full capacitance range using 8 volts instead of 9 volts. The MVAM108 Tuning Diode has a capacitance of around 20pf to 450pf . The MVAM108 Varacitor Tuning Diode is used to tune the AM broadcast range. The MVAM108 diodes are being sold for less than the replacement part. These MVAM108 diodes are no longer being made. Produces a precision 60 cycle square wave from a common color burst crystal. Only 8 pins and easy to use. I sell for about 1/3 of others who sell this part. I sell parts for 60Hz and 50Hz output.

CD4045BE For sale Precision timer. This is an super precision clock chip. The CD4045 is crystal controlled and divides each second by 2.097152 Million times. Unlike most clock devices that divides each second by 32 thousand times. The CD4045-BE can also be driven by an external oscillator for extremely long time delays. The CD4045 also has dual complimentary outputs and will operate from 5 to 15 volts.

           For those who like to design and build there own Crystal Radio set ( Xtal Radio Set ) we sell the parts (1N34A Diode, Ceramic Earphone, Piezoelectric Earphone ). The 1N34A Diode is the diode of choice for Crystal Radio Set Receivers sometimes called a Crystal Diode. The 1N34A, 1N60, 1N270, are germanium point contact diodes. These are sometimes called Crystal Diodes and as such some call a Crystal Radio Set a Crystal Diode Set.

            Building Crystal Radio Kits ( Crystal Diode Radio Kits ) are a great way to introduce young people to electronics. My Simple Crystal Radio kits are easy to build and Crystal Radios do not use external power sources other than an antenna and ground. The principles of a Crystal Radio Sets operation are not hard to understand.

           A Crystal Radio Receiver requires a good antenna and ground for the crystal radio set operate properly. This is because the Crystal Radio Receiver needs about .2 volts to be generated in the Crystal radio set tank circuit. Building a Simple Crystal Radio Kit is great for children of about 13 years old to learn Crystal Radio Set building and how a Crystal Radio Receiver works. I say 13 years old because our Crystal Radio Kit requires some soldering.

            Some of the crystal radio kit parts are no longer sold or made in the USA any more. Crystal radio parts are becoming harder to find. Like Ceramic Earphones ( Piezoelectric Earphones ). Science Fair Crystal Radio Projects

        Building Crystal Radios have been very popular as a Science Fair Project for years. A Crystal Radio Science Fair Project teaches many fundamentals of electronics. Many parents built Crystal Radios as there Science Fair projects when they were in school and want there children to build a Crystal Radio Set and enjoy all the fun they had learning how the Crystal Radio Set worked.

       If you are thinking of building a Crystal Radio Kit as a Science Fair project then our Simple Crystal Radio Kits are a good choice.             We sell transistors MPF102 JFET , J309 FET, 2N2222A , 2N2222, PN2222A , 2N3904 , 2N4401 , BF981 , MFE201 , 2N3819, 2N3906 , 2N4403 , PN2907A .

            Some of these transistors are becoming obsolete like the 2N2222A , 2N2222 , . The 2N2222A or the 2N2222 transistor in my opinion is almost a universal transistor good up to at least 300 Mhz.

            The PN2222A transistor is about the same as the 2N2222A or 2N2222 except it has a lower power rating.

           The MPF102 JFET is a VHF hi impedance device. The MPF 102 JFET can be used from audio to about 400 Mhz.

            The 2N3819 JFET is another hi impedance device like the MPF102 the 2N3819 is also good from audio to VHF/UHF .

         The J309 FET is another hi impedance device good form audio to VHF/UHF only manufactured to tighter tolerances than the 2N3819 and MPF102
