The sexy boys from France threw us all a curveball with 10,000 Hz Legend, the follow-up to their considerably mellower debut album. To celebrate the change-up, Air springs forth with Everybody Hertz, allowing a number of talented producers to remix a few choice cuts. "Don't Be Light" gets remixed eight ways from Sunday. Daft Punk's Thomas Bangalter churns out a punchy, funky house version while Mr. Oizo turns "Light" into twitchy techno with a number of off-kilter moments. And once again, the Neptunes prove they've got the golden touch; in their hands, "Light" becomes a slow and naughty hip-hop romp. The Hacker rounds up the "Light" remixes with his own classic electro take. Another notable track is the Modjo version of "People In The City." Here they apply the same acoustic magic that they have on alternate versions of their own work. Everybody Hertz also includes an Adrian Sherwood version of "How Does It Make You Feel?" and a new cut called "The Way You Look Tonight" (previously unavailable in the States until now).
