Sometime in the near future... in the year 2019...

"This is Carson Daly coming to you from the Applecreek Retirement Home." cough cough cough. "I'm broadcasting live via satellite with the lucky and wealthy 30 die hard fans of the Mega Huge Shadow Synth Power Band, ALTAiR... live from our own moon!"

Crowd cheers, obviously drunk.

"Yes, the band ALTAiR has once again topped themselves in what some would call the most influencial publicity stunt since the band's battle with the evils of music 17 years ago and their total annhilation of MTV six years ago which put me in the hospital and changed my ways... and the direction of my spine."

Carson babbles about his injuries...

"Hey, Carson, shutup!" yells Erik, via satellite.

"Yeah, it's all about US!" said Aaron.

"C'mon, tell the people what they wanna know!" Casey shouts.

"All right, all right. ALTAiR charged $5000 a head for 30 lucky diehard fans to fly with the band to the moon and drink genuine Russian vodka on the Russian space craft, the first country to make a space bus designed for 40 Swedish swimsuit models... anyways, ALTAiR, their minimal crew, and 30 fans flew to the moon on the 50th anniversary of the first landing on the moon and performed a concert, albeit short due to lack of oxygen (which made the last song even cooler they report) and are now on the space bus looking at calenders and finishing the vodka. Here is one fan, Tara Valles-Smith."

"Oh wow, this was one cool show! They played a lot of their old stuff which I loved, but unlike most bands they didn't ignore the stuff they did in the early 2010's. With all the Rap-Polka these days, it's nice to see a band stay true to their roots!"

"Now we'll hear from the band manager, who was fired last month so he wouldn't get any profit from the ticket sales and hired back yesterday because he's the only one who can pilot a space bus drunk."

"Well, Carson, I guess I'll just give you the set list. First off the band considered opening with a cover by KISS thinking that it should've been them to be the first band on the moon, but then they said f*ck that. Those guys are like 75 now. The set list started with Emulsion, Rock the E-Band, Into the Film, Return to Eternity, Mystify, Afterlife, Refire, Alien Boogie, Something Eerie, the classic Powertrip which they remixed to meld into Shangrizaad and they ended the set with a synth cover of Motley Crue's First Band on the Moon."

"Awesome! So it was about a 60 minute set, huh?"

"About 74 actually. Erik, the mathematical genius planned the set to be able to fit onto a CD with a six minute interview to follow. ALTAiR has never been able to let go of CD's. The only reason you can get their stuff on Plasma-Discs is because of the fans' demand and the label. It's all legal stuff."

"What about Mystify? I know that ALTAiR has successfully performed that song in pure darkness until now. What was it like to perform it under the sun?"

"Actually, Erik and Casey calculated a way to fix that. I don't know if it was part coincidence or just genius, but they detonated explosives to carve ALTAiR into the face of the moon, large enough to read with a low power telescope during the first song. This blast slightly offset the gravitational influence of the moon to the earth ratio sending Earth slightly off course, sending the orbit into and earthly eclipse just long enough for the extended version of Mystify. Then the crew used the remains and some glossy metals to construct "The First Band On The Moon" under the ALTAiR imprint to replace the lost mass, returning Earth to its normal orbit. So ALTAiR is also the first band to upset the orbit of our home planet!"

"Amazing!"

"Yes, Mystify was cooler than ever since gravity was reduced. Very cool effects."

"Well, this is Carson Daly with VH5, your music news!"
