My Finds for 2000
Well, here are my yearly totals for 2000. Bear in mind that I started in June, with a Fisher 1235X. A few months after I got into hunting, I purchased a Fisher CZ-5. I had to learn both detectors in a short amount of time. Also, my finds for the month of December are way down due to my business level during the Holidays, the weather, and my car troubles.
$125.99 in clad. I went out hunting 107 times, and I averaged $1.18 per trip.
These are the old coins I got this year:
1908 IH penny, 1916D wheat, 1927 wheat, 1930S wheat,
1930D wheat, 1942D wheat, 1944D wheat, 1956 wheat, and a 1957 wheat.
26 rings, 3 are gold, 5 are silver, the rest
are junk. 1 sterling earring, 1 small gold earring (eyeballed), other junk
earrings, 1 silver chain (I found what I hope was the silver pendant to this
chain about 10' away), 1 gold chain with pendant. I scored a ring every 4.11
trips hunting. I'll have to wait until I get a digital camera to get
decent pictures of the rings.
