Cardtable Games Site

Let me give you all a quick overview on what you can get here. You can download for free on this site a program that lets you play CCGs (Collectible Card Games) online with your friends, or other static (non-collectible) card games (like spades, mille bornes, poker, etc.) and even board games like risk.
The program is called "Cardtable" and is available as freeware for anyones use. I hold a great deal of files on my site that lets you play different CCGs on this program. While I do not own any of these rights for these games, neither do I make any money for doing this. I only do this as a hobby and I do not intentionally violate anyones copyrights-this is strictly a fan trying to spread these fun games around and perhaps generate more interest (and thus $$) for those who DO own the rights.

News

The MtG file links have all been fixed. i reuploaded all of the files onto a new server (it is on a yahoo group and due to the new TOS for yahoogroups you will now have to join one of these groups to DL these files in their files section).

And now for a little news...If you have been following the activity and postings in the CT yahoo group (link lower on this page) then you can see that there has been some activity in the form of newer files, etc. and they have not necessarily been updated on this site-the good news is that i am going to try and fix this. the yahoo group is so easy to run everything by and i have had very little time to work everything into the webpage due to myself having a life, two full time jobs, and 2 kids. anyway, i will try and get the new games updated and btw, if you donate and get the cardtable cd (details below) you get every file i have (the most up to date lis) not just the stuff on the list, i just have not updated the list yet.

A couple of new things: a new CCG (being worked on by others,) ShadowFist. Also, i fixed the link tot he incomplete LOTR 1.3 definition file and added the link to the CT files for Last Action Hero. Complete rules revision are still in the works, but for now using the AVP/T1 crossover rules will give you enough maneuverability to play. Also up and now linked in is the Ents of Fangorn file for LOTR CCG.

Been busy, and there has still been a bunch of updates (you may have noticed announcements on the yahoo group) but they have not been all linked or noted here, but i will try and catch up over time; anyway, LotR has a bunch of updates to the download links as well as several new expansion files.

CT IRC Channel

For those of you who already have an IRC client, the server is "irc.rebelchat.org" port "6667" The channel setup is #cardtable. So you can go ahead and hop on in.
For those of you who don't have an IRC client or don't even know what IRC is: IRC stands for "Internet Relay Chat". IRC is a multi-user chat system, where people convene on "channels" (a virtual place, usually with a topic of conversation like a chat room) to talk in groups, or privately.
If you use any version of windows (Which I assume most of you do because CT is only supported by windows), you need to download an IRC chat client. I suggest mIRC (http://www.mirc.com) Go to the download page and Download mIRC 6.03 from an appropriate mirror. Download and install it, then open the program file. When you first start it wou will get some popups go ahead and close them. Now go to FILE and select OPTIONS. You should be on the "connect" category, but if not select it. Now your going to add the server, hit "Add" In the Description box put something like "Cardtable Chat" in the IRC Server spot put "irc.rebelchat.org" in the port spot put "6667" leave the rest blank, and hit ADD. Now you need to fill in the rest of the information. The only thing that is important is the nickname field, this is the name you will use in the chat. Now make sure the "Cardtable Chat" server is select from the drop down menu and hit "connect to IRC Sever" You should connect, and go through some inilization procedures. When its done type "/join #cardable" and your in =D. You will learn other commands as you go.

While I have not personally created each of these files for use, I can give you help on most of them. And i have created the current majority of the files. you can find me in the credits in the file's readme's

so have fun, and if you enjoy the games, be sure to buy the original tabletop versions from their manufacturers.
