“VET’S VISITS OBSERVES ANNIVERSARIES

“VET’S VISITS on TV” will take a walk down memory lane as three Minnesota cities recognize special events, noted founder-producer; Jerry Barnhart.

The train depot in Duluth, Minnesota is undergoing a transformation.  The St. Louis County curator of the Veteran’s Memorial Hall will take us on a tour.  Veterans of three Wars recall starting a different life as they entered the ancient structure.

In Northfield, Minnesota, on January 2001, Korean War Veterans reenacted their 50th Anniversary march from the National Guard Armory to the train depot, where their unit was activated and would leave for Georgia for further training.

Historic Fort Snelling, in S.E. Minneapolis, is the scene as the “WW II Round Table Panels” continue in their 15th season.  The founder will share background information for the series, which, seven months a year, draws an average of 400 visitors.

On the 60th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor:  We will hear from two of the nine panelists who will recall their experiences on ships, which were bombed and torpedoed in the harbor at 8:00 a.m. Sunday December 7th, 1941.

Each program concludes with a report from the County Veteran’s Service Officer, Tim Burton, who is co-host for the TV series.
