Brad,

I would suggest the latest version of Windows NT, ie, Windows 2000 
Professional (workstation). 98 isn't nearly as robust or self-healing as 
W2K, and Win2K should be used over Windows NT4 for any system which 
requires current hardware standard support (for instance, USB isn't 
supported under NT4, while its support is transparent under W2K)
