1. Description
^
This is a small utility that displays a calendar with the twelve months of a year using the
Windows regional settings. Easy access to the calendar through an icon in the system tray,
which shows the current day of the month. Configurable colors and column layout, and it also
has the options of configure the first month in the calendar, the first day of the week and
printing the calendar.

2. License agreement

This software is freeware, but only for PERSONAL AND NON-PROFIT USE. For commercial,
corporate, educational or government use, or inclusion in any distribution made for
profit (software compilations, CD's...) you must contact the author for authorization.
This software is provided "as is", WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. The author
declines responsibility for any damages arising out of the use of this program.
You can redistribute this software for free, as long as you don't charge any money,
and only if you use the original package. If you don't have a copy of the original
package, you can download it from the AMPsoft web site at
http://www.ampsoft.net.
3. Using the calendar

The toolbar
In the toolbar there are available the following items:
- Current year button: Makes the calendar show the current year.
- Go to year button & text box: Pressing the button makes the calendar show the
year of the text box.
- Selected date text box: Shows the selected date, or the number of days selected if
Multiple day selection is enabled in the options.
- Exit button: Closes the calendar completely (instead of minimizing to the system tray).
The calendar
You can perform the following actions clicking in the calendar itself:
- You can use the buttons in the top-left/top-right corners to view the previous/next
12 months.
- You can click on the name of any month to select the month to display there.
- You can click on any year number to select the year to display there.
- If Multiple day selection is enabled in the options, you can
select a range of days and the program will show how many days are included between the start
and end date.
The File menu
The File menu contains the following items:
- Go to current year: Makes the calendar show the current year.
- Printer setup: Configures the printer output.
- Print calendar: Prints the calendar with the current layout.
- Exit: Exits the program (clicking in the 'x' button closes the calendar window
but it still remains active in the system tray).
The View menu
The View menu contains the following items:
- 1 column, 2 columns, 3 columns, 4 columns, 6 columns & 12 columns:
Changes the calendar layout so it displays the selected number of columns.
- Show toolbar: Shows/hides the toolbar.
- Show week numbers: Shows/hides week number in the calendar.
- Options: Open the options window.
The Options window
The Options window contains the following items:
- Always On Top: Shows window on top of other windows.
- Start with Windows: Starts application at session start.
- Show date in system tray icon: Shows the current date in the system tray icon.
- Use small numbers: Uses small numbers in the tray icon.
- Long date format in the tray icon tooltip: Shows the long date format (sentence format) in tray icon tooltip. If not checked shows the short date format (only numbers)
- Show week numbers by default: Shows week numbers in calendar by default.
- Show toolbar by default: Shows the toolbar by default.
- Show large icons: Shows large icons in the toolbar
- Activate with hotkey: Assings a hotkey for displaying the calendar window.
- Print background colors: Includes background colors when printing the calendar.
- Multiple day selection: Allows selecting several days in the calendar.
- Activate with single click in tray icon: Shows/hides the window with a single click in the tray icon. By default, doble-click always shows the window (no toggle).
- First day of the week: First day to display in each week.
- First month of the calendar: First month displayed in the calendar.
- Default number of columns: Default number of columns in the calendar.
- Colors box: Here you can select the colors used for displaying the calendar.
