Borders & Navigation


Creating Shared Borders

  • Go to the Format menu and click on Shared Borders.

  • Click which option you want, the All Pages or Selected Pages option.

  • Click the box with your desired border layout.

    • The shared borders can appear on the top, bottom, left or right side of the page.  Pick the location that best suits your site.

  • Click Ok.

 


Putting Information on a Shared Border

  • Go the Tools Bar, and click the arrow on the bottom of the menu for more options.
  • Click on Web Settings.
  • Click on the Advanced folder.
  • Click the box that says Show Documents in Hidden Directory.
  • Click Ok.
  • Your  Use this button to bring up (or get rid of) the folder list sub-window. Folder list will now show the hidden directories, including the Borders folder.
  • Click on this folder twice, and a bottom.htm folder will appear.
  • Click on this to get the shared borders screen.
  • Now you can put whatever information you want on the shared border. Be sure to save it so that it will can appear on your pages.

 


Creating a Navigation Bar

  • You need to have a web hierarchy in order to create a Navigation Bar.  If you don't, click on the Navigation icon in the Views bar and create one.
  • Go to the Insert menu, and click on Navigation Bar.
  • Choose the type of layout that you want, and check the appropriate boxes.
  • Click Ok.

Adjusting Navigation Bar Properties

  • Display the page in Page view.
  • Right-click on the navigation bar.
  • Click the desired check boxes and options in the dialog box.
  • Click Ok.
