Channel Commands!
!getlink username shows
you username's link
!gives shows you how many clicks you have given. If you go by another IRC
name, include it after the command.
!gets your KOC name shows you how many clicks you have received.
!mylog your KOC name sends you the log file of everyone who has
clicked you and pasted it in the channel. You CAN NOT use this command with java
chat, it uses DCC file transfer.
!linkstats shows you the statistics of all link clicking that has
happened in the channel since October 13th.
!togglesticky stickies or unstickies your link, so that if you post a
different link in the channel, your entry in the link tracker database is not
changed.
!stickystatus tells you whether your link is stickied or not
!updatelink your new KOC link forces your link to update in the
link tracker database if it is stickied.
!howlong tells you how long it has been since you last posted your link.
!kocname an IRC nickname tells you that person's KOC name
!fixmyname fixes your KOC name if it is incorrect
!needtoclick tells you what nicks are in the channel that you still
haven't clicked. When you first type it, it takes a few seconds to respond
because it is updating your cache. It will do this if it has been a half hour
since you last typed it.
Rules for #koclinks!
You may
- Post your link not more than once every 15 minutes to trade with other
users.
- Post the middle line of the results of the recruiting link in the chatroom.
(This is actually preferred, so that your click gets properly tracked)
Example: "User is building an army of Humans and now has 750 soldiers in
User's war machine". The first line, "You have been recruited into User's
army" and the second line "If you wish to become one of User's officers..."
are not required. Also, please do not paste the entire result if you have
already clicked that person today. Just paste the time and the user name.
Do NOT
- Bold, colorize, or add extra crap when you post your link, or in your
remotes, to make it more noticeable.
- Post your officers' or friends' links
- Paste click confirmations of any people who do not use the channel
- Use timers. Any timers. Whether they post your link or an away message
or the fact that you like big throbbing cocks, they are not allowed.
- You may absolutely NOT allow your remotes to respond to anything
other than !link, not *!link*, not *!getlink yournick*, not *!needtoclick*.
- Capitalize the f in fury
- Spam
- Annoy people.
- Flood the channel (this is a given, sadly it has to be listed though)
- Paste confirmations multiple times in an attempt to inflate your !gives
stats
- Paste any unique links besides those given by Kings of Chaos. (You may not
post a link to a custom web script you wrote to track clicks on you, either)
- Use excess control code formatting (This includes bold, underline,
reverse, and color)
- Private message other users to click your link, visit any other channel or
website, or to have them give you their link, without prior consent from that
user.
- Recruit people for alliances or officers, or anything similar.
- Beg users to click your link (this INCLUDES saying "Click me, I'll
click you back" or "so-and-so I clicked you, you owe me a click" or "Come on,
only 3 soldiers to 70 billion"!) or repetitively paste the link in the
channel.
- Use or create any scripts or triggers not approved by a consensus of
channel operators. (e.g. Invision's auto-thank you features for being voiced,
file server, and announcement features are not allowed.)
- Type in any languages other than English.
- Disrespect, question the authority of, or send unsolicited private
messages to, channel operators
You WILL, in no particular order, upon violating any rule or annoying an
operator:
- Be warned
- Be kicked
- Be banned from the link tracker system (limiting you to only using !link)
- Be banned fom the channel temporarily
- Be banned from the channel permanently
