Another saga of the PopOdyssey Tour had ended, and the five bandmates
were
on their usual post-stage high. They had been for the past eighteen
hours, a
sort of uplifted stress between performances. As unusual as it was to
those
that didn't follow each and every movement of the five, they were split
into
two buses, like they had done before, as they made their way to the
hotel
where they would stay for the next three days. Whoever didn't see the
arrangements coming didn't know the group too well. Joey, Lance, and
Chris
were in one bus, and Justin and JC were in another. It was about five
or so
in the evening, they had a little over 14 hours before they made it to
the
hotel. Justin and JC were sitting in the very back of their bus, laughing
amongst
themselves as they read the 'latest and trendiest!' teen magazines.
Well,
according to Chris they were. JC tossed another one to the slowly
rising
pile that was forming on the floor, and took the next one, which was
next to
Justin. He leaned back against his seat and opened the magazine,
immediately
smirking. "There's an article about you in here, Just." "Oh really? Can I see?" Justin turned from the magazine he was reading,
and
reached out to take a hold of the magazine JC held in his hands. JC
merely
laughed, pulling it away from Justin's reach. "No, I'm not done reading it. It's rather interesting." JC flashed a
wicked
smile before his eyes went back to the article with intense interest.
Actually, the article was questioning Justin's love life, and his
sexuality.
And with JC being, well.. JC, he was curious. "C'mon! If you're reading it then it's gotta be somethin' good!" Justin
reached out again, but JC pulled his arm back once again so Justin's
attempts at retrieving the magazine were in vain. "It's rather impolite to interrupt!" "You're such a jerk!" Justin faked a growl, leaning forward. He put a
hand
to JC's right in an attempt to push himself up and closer to JC without
falling on top of him. "Why thank you." JC tried to crawl away from Justin, but before he
could
Justin pushed forward again, and the hand which was strategically
placed to
the right of JC's body slipped, causing him to land on top of the older
singer. JC's eyes widened, and he lost his grip on the magazine which
unwillingly fell into Justin's possession. "Ow. ..Score! You can't beat me, Jayce. Not in basketball, and not
now,"
Justin proclaimed victoriously. Justin rolled over so he was still on
top of
JC, but instead of being stomach to stomach, Justin was now resting on
his
back. He then quickly went quiet, causing JC to wince as he figured
Justin
found the article. He had planned to turn the page to another column
that
was three pages away so Justin wouldn't see the one he was actually
reading.
But it was too late. "They think Brit and I are just some charade because I'm gay." JC winced. Now he really couldn't tell Justin what he had been hiding
from
him since the early years of MMC. "Is that so bad?" "I don't know. Normally we all laugh at this stuff. And nothin' against
y'all doin' it or anything.. But they're saying I'm dating one of you
guys." "Well.." JC gulped. "You laughed at their rumors before, what makes
this one
different? You know if you were gay none of us would have a single
problem
with it. We'd all love you just the same." "Yeah, I know. It's just.. I wouldn't! And if I was, not with any of
you!
You're like brothers to me!" Justin went quiet for a moment, sensing
subconscious tension. He shook his head slightly afterwards, rubbing
the
fuzzy traces of hair on his head with a nervous laugh. "But... Thanks,
Jayce. That means a lot to me." JC forced a small smile, nodding as best he could from his position
under
Justin, on the backseat. "Yeah." Now it was becoming rather hard to
forget
that Justin was on top of him. And when Justin had the chance to roll
off,
he didn't. He merely turned around. And stayed on top of him. Just as JC's thoughts about the matter subsided, Justin rolled over
again,
his blue eyes looking into his friend's. Their chests were on top of
one
another so both could hear the other's rapid heart beat. Justin leaned
down
a little, staring deep into the silver blue eyes that replied to his
stare.
He could read him like a book. He seemed.. Disappointed. But why? Justin leaned in a little bit more, his head filling with all sorts of
questions and strange, sudden urges. He began to question whether or
not he
believed what he had said. Suddenly, Justin's face moved closer and
closer
to JC's, and he closed his eyes halfway as he got closer to his
destination.
As he did so, JC slowly turned his head, abruptly, and Justin's lips
then
came in contact with the older singer's cheek instead of their intended
destination. 'Wait what the hell? He's gonna think I'm all weird now.' JC turned his head back in sheer confusion. "Justin? What..?" Justin blinked rapidly, nervously, rolling off JC and sat up, turning
around
so his back was to the other singer. "Sorry. Nothing.. sorry. I just
slipped." There was a moment of uncomfortable silence for a moment before JC
cleared
his throat, sitting up. "Yeah, understandable." Although he tried to
make it
sound like he meant it, he could not get the feel of Justin's lips on
his
skin out of his head. God. This was going to be some bus ride.
