Damn it’s hot, Justin thought, wiping the back of his hand across
his brow. Damn good thing I lost the curls.
He lay in a lounge chair by the pool, the hot sun beating down on his naked body.
JC always nagged him about tanning
nude.
“It’s not that I think it’s bad that you’re naked, Justin,” he grinned.
“I just don’t think the neighbors need to see you lounging around in your
birthday suit.”
But the neighbors couldn’t see him, and even if they did, he didn’t care. Being
naked in the sun was the best feeling in the world.
Next to being naked with JC, of course.
And where the hell was JC, anyway? He
was supposed to be home an hour ago. Now
here it was almost 3:00 and Justin still had no idea where he was.
He better not have forgotten what today was.
One year today. One year they’d been together. It had been the happiest year of Justin’s life, and he
wanted it to last forever.
One problem.
No one knew. Not Lance, not Chris,
not Joey. Not Justin’s mom, not JC’s parents…no one knew except the two of
them.
And fuck if that didn’t bother Justin more every day.
He wanted to shout out to the whole
world that he was in love with Joshua Scott Chasez.
But every time he attempted to tell anyone, JC silenced him. “Justin…we’ve
talked about this. It’s not the
right time.”
Squinting into the sun, Justin sighed. Where
the fuck was JC? Justin had wanted
to spend the whole day with him, celebrate their being together for a whole year.
But JC said he had “work to do at the studio.”
“Pfff,” Justin said aloud. “Since
when is work more important than me?”
Rising from the lounge chair, Justin slipped into the pool, closing his eyes as
the cool water flushed over his body. He
floated lazily on his back, eyes on the door in case JC came home.
“Justin?” He heard JC call his
name, and a smile formed on his lips.
”Bout damn time,” he mumbled, pulling himself out of the water, walking into
the house without even bothering to grab a towel.
“Hey, baby,” he cooed when he saw JC hunched over his lap top. In
the door two minutes and he’s already putzing around on that thing.
“Hey,” JC replied, not looking up from the screen.
“How was your day?” He stepped
closer to JC, trying to get his attention.
“Busy. Look, Justin, about
tonight…” Finally he looked up, and his eyes widened at the sight of his
lover, dripping wet, naked, cock at full attention. He
fought the grin that pulled at his lips. “Justin,
what are you doing?”
“Well, I was outside swimming, and I was thinking about you, and then this—“
He pointed to his erection with a coy smile. “Happened. See what you do to me,
Jace?”
“Put some clothes on, babe. I don’t have time to play right now.”
“But—“
“Justin, I’m serious. Put some clothes on. Or go outside. I don’t have
time right now.”
JC hated seeing the hurt look in Justin’s eyes, but he really didn’t have
time for sex right now…although the offer was quite tempting. “Fine,” Justin pouted. “And what about tonight?”
“Oh. Yeah. I…I can’t make it
to dinner, babe. I’m sorry. I have an interview for CosmoGirl magazine—I got
the cover.”
“Jace, would you rather have this—“ he grabbed the bulge that was now
hidden behind a towel. “Or a stupid interview where all they’re going to do
is ask you who you’re dating? And we all know what the answer to that one
is.” Justin’s voice became high
pitched as he mocked JC. “I’m not seeing anyone right now, my music means
everything to me.”
“Justin, that’s not fair.”
“Oh, and I suppose it’s fair that I can’t tell anyone how I feel about you,
huh? It’s fair that I can’t
touch you in public, it’s fair that I have to keep all of my feelings bottled
away until we’re alone, which, by the way, is barely ever!” Hot
tears pricked Justin’s eyes and he blinked them away.
“Justin, calm down,” JC said, reaching out for the younger man.
Justin backed away, sniffling. “No.
We’ve been together a year today,
JC. A whole fucking year. Did you even remember?”
JC’s eyes widened, and he looked to the floor, sighing. “Fuck.. Justin,
baby, I’m sorry. I’m not going to lie to you…I completely forgot. I’ve
had so much on my mind…”
“Yeah, JC. I bet you have. And I bet none of it included me,” Justin hissed
before spinning on his heels and stomping up the stairs. JC heard the bedroom
door slam and sank down into his chair, rubbing his temples and wondering just
how he was going to fix the mess he’d just gotten himself into.
*******************************
Justin laid in bed, trying to sleep. It
wasn’t working. It was only 7:30,
what was he doing in bed anyway?
Oh yeah, he remembered. Avoiding JC. He sighed, running a hand over the fuzz on his head. He
couldn’t believe JC had forgotten their anniversary. Justin
couldn’t remember a time when he was ever this hurt.
He heard the door shut and groaned. Please
just let him leave me alone. He waited for the bedroom door to open, for JC
to come in and ramble off a pathetic apology, but it didn’t happen. Instead,
he heard the door open and close again. JC
had left.
Tears in his eyes, Justin buried his face in his pillow.
The phone rang, and he reached over to pick it up. “Hello?” he mumbled, face
still buried in the pillow.
“Just, it’s Josh. Go
downstairs. I’ll be home in a
little while. I love you.” And he
hung up. Confused, Justin wiped the tears from his eyes and trudged
downstairs, wondering what the hell JC was up to.
On the counter, a dozen roses stood in a vase. Next to them was a card and a tape player.
“What the…”
Justin picked up the card and began reading.
Justin~~
I am an idiot. Plain and simple. No other word to describe me.
I can’t believe I forgot the anniversary of the best day of my life—the day
you and I became more than friends…the day we became lovers.
You’re right about everything that you said.
Listen to the tape, then go back upstairs and wait for me. I
love you, Justin Randall Timberlake.
Always,
Joshua
Justin picked up the tape player and pushed play, frowning when a woman’s
voice came through the speaker.
“So, JC, tell us about the new CD.”
And then JC’s voice. “Well, Justin and I did a lot of the writing and
producing on the new album, which is cool. We
want to make ourselves known for writing and producing, too, ya know?” Justin
could hear the smile in JC’s voice.
“Right. “ Justin listened as the woman asked JC more questions about the
album and the group. Why the
hell does he want me to listen to this?
“Ok, JC, the question all the girls are dying to know the answer to.”
Justin’s heart stopped in his chest, and he turned up the volume on the tape
player.
“Are you dating anyone right now?”
“Sure am,” JC said, and again Justin could hear him smiling.
“Really? Well, can you tell us
anything about this mystery lady?”
JC laughed, and Justin begged for him to hurry up and answer the question
already. “Well, this person is incredible. Never ceases to amaze with their beauty, their
thirst for life…this person is so good to me. Sometimes I don’t think
I even deserve him.”
Justin’s eyes were blurred with tears, and he clung to the tape recorder,
waiting.
The woman cleared her throat, and Justin could picture her face. It almost made
him want to laugh. “Um…him?”
Again, JC laughed. “Yeah. Him. We’ve
been together for a year today. He’s
the love of my life.”
“Ok…um…well….that’s great to hear…um…could you tell us his
name?”
“Justin. Justin Timberlake. Yes,
you heard me. I love Justin Timberlake, and I’m ready to tell the world.”
The recording stopped, and Justin could barely see he was crying so hard. That
JC would do that for him…would tell a nationally publicized magazine that he
loved him….it was almost unbelievable.
He remembered JC’s note—Go back upstairs and wait for me.
He ran so fast he almost tripped on his own feet, out of breath by the time he
leapt on to the bed and tried to be patient while he waited for JC.
He waited…and waited…and waited…and JC still didn’t come. He
sighed, wondering what could be taking his lover so long.
Hearing a noise outside, he stood to look out the window. He
laughed when he saw JC, completely naked, floating on his back in the pool. He
saw Justin in the window and smiled, motioning for him to come down and join the
fun.
Justin flew down the stairs, stripping his clothes off as we went. He
stepped outside and stood at the edge of the pool, frowning when he noticed that
JC was gone.
“Josh?” he called, looking around.
Wet arms wrapped around him and he gasped, smiling at the feel of JC’s cock
against his backside.
“Hey there,” JC purred, tracing Justin’s ear with his tongue.
“Hey.”
“Did you listen to the tape?”
“Yeah.”
“And?”
“And I love you. I love you more
now that I ever knew I could love anyone. Thanks,
Josh. It’s the best anniversary present in the world.”
“We’ll tell the guys tomorrow, ok?”
Justin smiled, turning in JC’s arms to face him, moaning as the tips of their
erections met.
“No more talking, Josh,” he whispered, pressing his lips to JC’s, his
hands finding JC’s long tresses and grasping them, pulling JC into the kiss.
JC ran his hands down Justin’s back, cupped his ass in both hands.
“Fuck, Josh…I want you so bad right now,” Justin growled, nibbled at
JC’s neck.
“Wanna go in the water?” JC teased, shoving Justin back gently.
Justin responded by turning and diving in to the pool, waiting for his lover to join him. JC
followed, pressing Justin into the corner and kissing him hard on the mouth.
His hand found Justin’s cock, and Justin thrust into JC’s hand, purring in
his ear. “Jesus, Jace…fuck that
feels good.”
Justin sucked in a breath when he felt one of JC's fingers slip inside him. He
threw his head back and groaned. “Jace…”
“Yeah, baby?” JC whispered, planting small kisses all over Justin’s face,
neck, chest.
“I…god….please…in me…now…”
JC removed his finger and turned Justin around slowly, kissed the back of his
neck, his shoulders.
Justin spread his legs and put his arms on the edge of the pool, bracing himself
as he waited for his lover to enter him.
He moaned as JC pushed inside him, waiting for him to get used to the feeling. He
pressed back into JC, who thrust forward, filling his lover.
“Josh…” Justin breathed as JC’s thrusts became a steady motion. JC
snaked his hand around Justin’s waist and grabbed his cock, pumping it in his
fist, bringing Justin—and himself—closer to the edge.
Justin felt like he was going to explode. “Fuck…Josh…I’m gonna…”
“Come on, Justin…go, baby…” JC whispered in the younger man’s ear.
“Jossshhhh…” Justin growled
as he came hard, feeling JC explode inside him as well.
JC held Justin for a moment, kissing him lightly on this neck. “I
love you, Justin,” he whispered.
Justin smiled and turned around to face the man he loved. “I love you too,
baby,” he said, kissing him tenderly.
“Hey Jace?”
“Mmm hmm?”
”Think CosmoGirl will really publish that stuff about you loving me?”
JC laughed and kissed the tip of Justin's nose. "I don't know, baby. But if
they don't, I'll find someone else that will.
