Justin pressed his toes into the hot sand and laughed out loud as yet another
wave splashed against JC's face, leaving him sputtering for air as he tried to
sweep his long locks out of his wet eyes.
"I hear you laughing, Justin!" At which Justin just laughed harder. "Ok, Timberlake, that's it!"
JC fought his way out of the waves and ran towards Justin, who scrambled to get
to his feet. Not in time though.
because JC lunged at him and grabbed him around the waist, tossing the younger
man over his shoulder before running back towards the water.
"Nooooo!" Justin wailed, laughing as his chest bounced against JC's
shoulder.
Justin felt cold water engulf his body as JC tossed him into the waves. He
resurfaced, wet curls dripping into his eyes.
"Damn it, JC!" Justin
said, trying to sound angry but not pulling it off.
"Oh, is the little drowned rat mad at Joshy?" JC
laughed and pushed the wet hair out of Justin's face.
"Damn you for convincing me to grow these curls back, too. Now
I remember why I cut them in the first place."
"Can I help it if I love the curls? They make you look so..." He grabbed the waistband of Justin's swim trunks and pulled
him closer. "Kissable." He
leaned in to kiss Justin, but Justin turned his head.
"No," he pouted. "You threw me in the water. I don't want to kiss
you anymore."
"Is that so?" JC said
coyly. "I bet I can change
that."
"I bet you can't."
But Justin knew he was wrong. He
just wanted to make JC fight for it.
Justin moaned lightly as JC slid his hand into his trunks, pumping Justin's cock
while kissing his neck softly.
"Josh...this isn't fair...." Justin whined.
"You wanna kiss me yet?"
Justin answered by pressing his lips to JC's, fisting JC's hair in his hands to
pull him deeper in to the kiss.
JC slid his arms around Justin's waist and sighed. "Look at this place,
J," JC said, his eyes traveling the beach. "It's
like paradise."
"Our own private paradise," Justin whispered, silently thanking God
for friends like Chris, Joey, and Lance, the ones that made this possible.
"I don't ever want to leave."
"Tonight's our last night."
"I know..." JC sighed, pressing his lips to Justin's forehead. "I
have something special planned." He
grinned excitedly before running out of the water.
Justin chased after him. "What do you have planned, Josh? Tell me!" he
whined, still chasing his lover. They
both collapsed on the beach, out of breath and in a fit of laughter.
"You'll just have to wait and find out," JC teased, kissing Justin
before standing to gather their things. "Let's
head back, Justin.. We have to get ready to go out." He
smiled down at Justin, and the two walked hand in hand back to the house.
What are you planning, Josh? Justin wondered.
As if knowing what Justin was thinking, JC said, "It's something that will
make everything right, Justin. Forever."

JC paced back and forth on the deck, wringing his hands nervously and scrubbing
the stubble on his chin with his fingers.
Just calm down, Josh, he thought. You know Justin loves you, you have
nothing to worry about.
He reached in his pocket and pulled out the ring, running it back and forth
through his fingers.
Nothing to worry about.

JC spread the blanket on the sand as Justin built the fire. JC
watched him, smiling to himself at how lucky he was to have that beautiful man
in his life.
"You're amazing, you know that Justin?" Even in the dark, JC could see Justin blush.
"So are you, Josh." He
cuddled next to JC and the two sat in silence, watching the waves and enjoying
the feeling of knowing they were the only two around for hundreds of miles.
"Josh?"
"Yeah, baby?"
"Sing for me?"
JC smiled, then tried to decide which song to sing.
Perfect, he thought, and began to sing softly, looking in Justin's eyes.
In your eyes, I feel your fire burn
All your secrets I will learn
Even if it takes forever.
With you by my side,
I can do anything.
I don't care what tomorrow brings...
As long as we're together.
Justin's eyes were filled with tears. So were JC's.
My heart is telling me
That you could be my meant to be.
I know it more each time we touch.
Then Justin joined in.
Something happens when you look at me
I forget to speak.
Something happens when you kiss my mouth
My knees get so weak.
Could it be true this is what God has meant for me
Cuz baby I can't believe
That something like you could happen to me.
Both men had tears streaming down their cheeks now, and JC was shaking as he
took Justin's hands in his own.
"Jace? What's wrong?" Justin asked quietly.
JC smiled, squeezing Justin's hands. "Nothing's wrong, baby. Everything's
perfect. This is perfect." He
took a deep breath and continued. "Justin,
you are the best thing that's ever happened to me. You
are my best friend, my lover, my soul mate. I can't believe how lucky I am to
have you. And I want to be with you
forever." JC reached in his
pocket and pulled out the gold ring that he'd bought so many months ago and
slipped it on to Justin's finger.
"Forever, Justin. I'm promising you forever."
Justin threw his arms around JC and held him close. "Forever, JC?"
"Forever."
Neither one knew what would happen in the future, where their music would take
them, when their careers would end. But somehow that didn't seem to matter,
because the one thing they knew was that they'd have each other, and that was
all they needed to get by.
