"Fuck
you, JC," Justin screamed, slamming his hand down on the table.
"You wish, buddy," JC replied rolling his eyes at the younger man.
"You aren't going to be doing that for a very long time."
"I hate you," Justin spat.
"I'm not to fond of you at the moment either."
Justin glared at his boyfriend for a moment before grabbing his keys off the
counter and storming out of the house. After pulling his BMW Roaster out of the
private drive of the house the two shared, Justin sped down the empty country
roads. He thought about going to Chris' house but changed his mind figuring the
eldest member wouldn't give him a chance to explain before telling him to leave
and go apologize to JC for whatever had started this fight. He figured Lance
would do the same they always take his side, Justin thought and decided
Joey was his best option because if nothing else he'd get to see Brianna. With
that decided he sped off toward Joey's house.
"What'd you do this time?" Joey questioned when he found Justin
outside his door.
"Nothing," Justin denied.
"Of course," Joey rolled his eyes. "Bri's still asleep so why
don't we sit down, you tell me your problem, then you can play with Bri when she
wakes up?"
At least he offered to listen, Justin thought before nodding and sitting
down next to Joey.
"So, what happened?"
"I don't know... JC came home from the studio in a pissed off mood and
started complaining."
"About what?"
"Everything! 'The house is a mess!' 'Your shit's all over the house--'"
"What did he really say? I'm doubting JC actually said shit," Joey cut
him off.
"He asked me why I could pick up after myself or something like that while
going around and picking things up," Justin explained.
"And what did you say?"
"Why should I when you'll do it for me," Justin answered. "I
was kidding!!" he exclaimed when Joey shot him a disapproving look.
"You don't joke about things like that when your SO is in a bad mood,"
Joey replied. "Then what happened?"
"He got even more pissy and I tried to tell him I was kidding but he
wouldn't listen."
"And?"
"He called me a spoiled little mama's boy who'd never done anything for
himself."
"And you said?"
"Fuck you. Then he said he was sorry I couldn't behave like an adult about
this."
"And?" Joey prompted.
"I sorta uh told him fuck off and asked him why he was still with me if I
was such a baby... And he said he didn't know. So I said fuck you again. He said
I wished and that I wouldn't be doing that for a very long while. Then I told
him I hated him and he said he hated me too--"
"He didn't say he hated you," Joey cut him off again. "What'd he
really say? I can't help you if you don't tell me everything."
"He said he wasn't too fond of me either and then I stormed off and came
over here," Justin finished. "So what should I do?"
"First I'd give him time to cool down then think of something romantic to
do for him," Joey answered.
"That's it?"
"I can't fight all your battles for you," Joey replied, as the phone
began to ring and Brianna began to cry. "How's about you go get Bri while I
answer the phone?"
Justin agreed and exited the room. When Justin was gone, Joey checked the caller
ID. "Hello, JC."
"Justin there?"
"Yep. He's getting Bri as we speak."
"Figured as much," JC sighed. "When he gets too annoying just
send him on back here, I haven't changed the codes or anything yet."
"All right, but I'll keep him here for a while so that you can calm down
for a bit."
"Thanks, Joe," JC replied.
"Not a problem."
***
"What am I going to do with him?" JC sighed, looking around the house
he and Justin shared after he'd hung up with Joey.
"Dump him?" Chris suggested.
"I love him, Chris," JC said, picking up Justin's stuff that was in
the living room.
"Kidding," Chris replied. "Don't pick it up," he added,
stopping JC. "Make him do it himself."
"That's the thing, he won't."
"No he won't if you continue to do it for him," Chris agreed.
"Big baby's been here all day everyday for two weeks, he can pick up after
himself. He can make sure there's food in the house. He can make dinner on
occasion so that when you get home you can eat."
"He wouldn't be Justin if he did though."
"He did it for Britney."
"I'm not Britney."
"That's right, you really are dating him."
"And?"
"And it doesn't bother you that he can pretend to be sweet for Britney but
can't do a damn thing for you?"
"He had someone who told him what to do for Brit," JC replied.
"He doesn't think them up on his own."
"I'm sure if he attempted to he could think of something sweet."
"He wouldn't think to though."
"I don't know what to tell you then."
They chatted for a while then Chris left. When Chris was gone JC turned on the
radio loudly to listen to while he picked up the clothing throughout the house.
He had just finished putting away the dishes when he heard the opening of one of
his favourite songs, 'Recipe for Love' begin to play. He sat down at the table a
listened to the song.
A little bit of me and a whole lot of you
Add a dash of starlight and a dozen roses, too
Then let it rise for a hundred years or two
And that's the recipe for making love
It doesn't need sugar 'cause it's already sweet
It doesn't need an oven 'cause it's got a lot of heat
Just add a dash of kisses to make it all complete
And that's the recipe for making love
And if you've made it right you'll know it
It's not like anything you've made before
And if you've made it wrong you'll know it
'Cause it won't keep you coming back for more
I didn't get it from my grandma's book upon the shelf
I didn't get it from a magical and culinary elf
No, a little birdie told me you can't make it by yourself
And that's the recipe for making love
"That was Harry Connick Jr. with 'Recipe for Love' by special request. To C
from J with the message: 'I don't know whether you're listening, but this is for
you, C. I'm so sorry and I love you. J,'" the DJ said when the song was
over.
"I am sorry," Justin said, making his presence know.
"I'm sorry too," JC replied. "I shouldn't have called you a
spoiled mama's boy."
"I should pick up after myself, and not let you do it."
"I'll remind you of that next time," JC replied.
"Do," Justin replied.
JC nodded and pulled Justin into a hug. They hugged for a little bit then Justin
placed a kiss on the side of JC's neck. JC allowed him to kiss him for a while,
pulling away just before he reached his lips. Justin started at him confused.
"I may have forgiven you but you still aren't gettin any."
" WHAT?! WHY?!"
"I'm hungry."
"I'll make dinner."
"The house is still a mess."
"I'll finish cleaning it up."
"I'm tired. Think about it tomorrow when you're home all day," JC
replied, giving Justin a kiss and walking out of the room.
The End
