Part 5

Leaving

Ok…granted, it’s a given that I was gonna have a dream with him in it. I mean hello…you try meeting someone as gorgeous as he is and then look me in the eye and tell me that you wont have dreams about those eyes, or that body. Be real people! But this…I mean no…I am a Twenty-Seven year old man…I thought I’d moved past this at puberty. No such luck. Turning on the shower to a warm setting I glance in the mirror and blink. As I peel away the sticky boxers I groan.

“27 Joshua and you just had a fucking wet dream!”

~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~
Stepping out of the shower Justin reached for the ringing phone glancing at the clock. 9:32. “Hello”
“Hey Justin…Good morning” a sexy voice replied.
“Well yes it is Josh…But you’re late…it’s officially 9:32…you said you’d call at 9:30” he laughed.
“I wanted to give you time to wake up enough babe no harm in that” JC chuckled.
“I wouldn’t have heard it anyways I was in the shower till just now.” Justin said casually.
JC’s eyes widened. “I-I’m sorry I just wanted to uh make sure you were awake and all” he stuttered images of a dripping we Justin flashing through his mind.
“NO…I mean no…just give me a sec” he said putting down the phone on the night stand.
The sound of a towel hitting the floor traveled through the phone and JC bit his lip to keep from letting out the groan he knew was coming.
Justin pulled on a pair of black boxer briefs and sat on the bed. “Ok I’m back…so what’s up?” he said happily.
“Well I’m just about finished getting ready I was gonna start over to your hotel…are you gonna be ready by then?” JC asked.
“No it’s fine I’ll be ready” Justin smiled.
“Ok cool I’ll meet you in the lobby” JC replied.
“Cool I’ll see ya soon then.”
Justin hung up and quickly finished getting dressed pulling on acid washed pair of his endless supply of baggy jeans, a pair of new sneakers he’d bought when he and Trace went shopping the day before, and a tight white shirt that showed off his chest and arms displaying the tattoo on his shoulder. Glancing around the room he spotted his wallet on the dresser. Scribbling a quick note to Trace about going out with JC he slid it under the connecting door to their rooms. Grabbing a pair of sunglasses and a cover up shirt he headed down stairs.
In the elevator he quickly flipped open his wallet checking for ID and money, satisfied he put it in his back pocket just as the doors opened to the lobby.
JC looked up as the bell for the elevator sounded. Seeing Justin step off. He took in a breath of air. He knew the man was gorgeous but damn!
Justin was still holding his shirt in his hand the muscle tank he had on leaving little to the imagination. JC smiled.
“Hey Justin you ready?” he asked.
Justin smiled in return and nodded. They headed out JC’s hair covered by a backwards black baseball hat and his blue eyes concealed by the sunglasses he wore. A tight black t-shirt, and nice fitting blue jeans topped with black sneakers. He was dressed casually so as not to draw attention from fans still lingering around the hotels.
The got into the rental Lexus, Justin, adjusting the seat to suit his tall frame JC looked at him. “Come here” he spoke softly. Justin looked up into JC’s blue eyes, the sunglasses propped on his head. He smiled.
Leaning in the two shared a lingering kiss.
“Good morning Josh” Justin spoke pulling away to buckle his seat belt. They set off down the street. Justin bobbing his head to the radio as JC sang softly under his breath. Soon they were outside of a small exclusive café on the beach.
JC owned part of the café, deciding it was a good investment as well as a good way of guaranteeing his privacy in at least one restaurant. They parked and exited JC once again wearing the hat and glasses, as was Justin.
They walked in the front door and were greeted by an older woman with dark brown hair and blue eyes. “Hey Shelley” JC spoke giving her a quick hug.
“Joshua Scott!” where have you been, you didn’t even come to see me and I know you’ve been in town at least a week!” She scolded. JC chuckled. “Sorry Momma Shell I’ve just been running around town…I’d like you to meet my friend…Justin Timberlake” he smiled at Justin.
Justin grinned “It’s nice to meet you Mrs. Chazes…” he began.
“Oh no sweetheart, I’m Mrs. Shaffer, Christina’s mom….” She tried to explain.
Justin’s brow crinkled in confusion.
JC smiled. “Christina Aguilera Hun.”
The light dawned in Justin’s eyes. Christina Aguilera had grown up with JC, the two had been inseparable through their childhood eventually both going into the entertainment world as singers, and models. “Well in that case it’s an honor to meet you Ma’m, I’m a big fan of your daughters…and Josh’s” he smiled again.
“Oh aren’t you just too cute for words” she laughed.
She led the two of them to the VIP reserved section and handed them menus.”
“I’ll be back in a minute to get your orders” she said.
Justin looked through the menu deciding almost immediately on the southern style omelet with bacon, sausage, tomato, and ham with tons of cheese. JC ordering the same both with orange juice and fruit on the side. Shelley returned to take their orders disappearing after a minute.
“So Christina’s mom owns this place huh?” Justin asked.
“Oh no not really, Me, her, and Chrissy do…it’s really her mom that runs it though…she really only serves the upper clientele, there are other waiters and waitresses that work the main floor.”
“Well I like it here, it’s very homey, comfortable”
“Well thanks, I’m glad you like it, you’ll love the food to, everything is from Shelley’s own recipes.
“So tell me about yourself Justin” JC asked.
“Well I’ve got 2 baby brothers, Jonathan and Stephen, their my half brothers my dad’s kids. My mom and dad divorced when I was younger, dad remarried to Lisa, and then Mom remarried to Paul. Dad, Lisa and the kids live in Tenessee, Mom and Paul live in Orlando now. Um…I go to school at UNC, play basketball for them, number12 (sorry folks, no 1 ½). Uh I’m majoring in Business Administration with a minor in Public Relations. That’s really about it…that’s me.”
“Well I can say that all sounds pretty normal…at least you’re not a serial killer stalking me…had a few of those,” JC joked, no really…what do you want to do out of college, I know you want to play ball but what else?”
“Well I hopefully want to start my own company, sports management or something like that, seems like the best of both worlds” Justin shrugged.
JC nodded. “Yea that sounds like a plan.”
“So tell me about you…only fair” Justin grinned.
“Well I’m Joshua Scott Chazes, I’m 27, a Leo, I love music, basketball, art, Chinese food and sleep” he joked listing the bio information in teeny magazines.
“No Josh be real!” Justin laughed.
“Ok…well I’m Joshua…I was born in Maryland, my parents live there, I have a sister Heather, and brother Tyler. I don’t talk to any of them that much any more since they found out I’m gay, Christina is my best friend, her mom is pretty much like a mother to me…I travel a lot, I like it actually, and music is my air really…its always been a big part of me. I do other stuff but that’s my focus really.”
“Sounds normal enough, at least you’re not some lowly college student, broke, living off of Mac and Cheese, ramen noodles, and soda…the diet of champions!” Justin smiled brightly teasing.
“So Justin you’re leaving…” JC asked quietly glancing out the window at the ocean.
“Yea…we leave at about 6 tonight actually earlier than we thought, gonna drive up to Orlando and see my Mom and Paul, and Trace’s parents then head up to campus…we should make it there tomorrow afternoon, get settled and I have first session tomorrow on the court with the starters then the rest of the team that night.” He explained softly.
“I like you Justin…that’s pretty obvious by now…are we gonna see how this plays out…do you want that?” JC asked nervously.
“I do Josh, I’m a little worried about everyone finding out…I mean it’s no secret that you…well you know…my family, Trace, and Britney are the only people that know I’m gay…I don’t date…haven’t, atleast no men…in I guess it’s been since high school so 2 and a half years…”
JC covered Justin’s hand on the table with is own rubbing the back softly with his thumb.
“If you want to we can do this…I’m willing if you are”
Justin smiled, his eyes sparkling. “Yea I am to” he turned his hand under JC’s and held it.
Shelley returned quietly watching the moment between the two. “Well now boys…what do we have here?” she smirked. Justin blushed as JC tightened his hold.
“Mamma Shell, I think I should introduce you again…this is Justin, my boyfriend” he smiled brightly, Justin this is Mom” he grinned at the happy look in Shelley’s eyes at him having a boy and the slight surprise of him calling her Mom, he rarely seriously said it but she knew he felt it and she felt like he was her son as well.
“Well Justin, it’s nice to meet you again! Though I have to say…I’m disappointed, now I cant snap you up for my daughter…you really are a gorgeous one aren’t you!” she laughed kissing Justin on the cheek. Justin blushed even more.
JC just chuckled. “Baby…we have to get you out of blushing at every compliment, you are beautiful…people aren’t blind, and most will tell you so!” he said. Justin felt his heart skip a beat when those words were said. “Thanks Josh.”
“Well then, you two have been here since morning …did ya’ll want to order something else to take with you?” she asked.
“ooh I do…can you get me a slice of that cheese cake of yours and a fried chicken burger!” JC beamed. Shelley laughed. “Do you ever order anything I can’t guess?”
“Nope!” he grinned.
Justin glanced through the lunch menu deciding on something for himself and Trace to take on the road.
“Can I get two brownies, an order of chicken fingers, and an order of just fried chicken, ooh and that looks good to he said pointing to the Oreo milkshake Shelley was loved for.
The two left soon after with their food. Stopping at the beach for a little while to just enjoy time together finally making it back to the hotel JC walking with Justin up to the room.
“Hey Trace man you bout ready to go?” he asked entering the room. Their suitcases were on the bed the room picked up.
“Yea whenever you are man…I called the desk they said whenever we turn in our key we can go…we aren’t charged the full day today though so that’s cool” he said.
“Well I brought back some food from Shelley’s we can have it on the way up…I’m driving first anyways.”
“Cool…hey JC man sorry bout that. How are you doing?”
“I’m fine man, good to see you again.”
“Well I’m gonna head down Justin…take another look around and bring your stuff…we can get an earlier start…its just about 5 now.”
“Wow…we were out all that time and I didn’t even notice!” Justin smiled at JC.
“Well time flies…”
The door shut behind Trace.
“We should say goodbye here huh?” Justin asked in a childlike tone.
“Yea baby.” JC said stepping closer to Justin wrapping his arms around his waist and placing a soft kiss on his pouting lips.
“I’ll call you when we get to my mom’s ok?”
JC ran a hand up Justin’s arm tracing the tattoo there.
“I’ll keep it on…call me no matter what time it is ok?” Justin nodded.
“I gave you my dorm number and you have mom’s too if you need it…and when I get my cell fixed I’ll call you with the new number.” He said.
“I’m gonna miss you Justin…I gave you my number to my cell, the house in California, and New York right…and you have Chrissy’s to…”
“Josh baby…its ok…I got all of them…I’ll call, I promise.”
They leaned in kissing slowly in no rush drawing it out as long as possible.
“I’ll miss you to Joshy” he grinned at the silly name.
JC laughed. “I’ll let that slide…but only because it’s you!” he smiled. Taking his hand they walked to the elevator waiting till the doors opened to board the empty space.
Justin pushed the stop button without thinking, pulling JC to him.
Josh looked at him shocked for a second before lips captured his hotly.
This kiss was passion, and sadness, neither wanting to end it.
Pulling away finally slightly breathless Justin hit the restart button.
“What was that for?” JC asked dazed.
“To remember me by” Justin smiled.
“Baby J, I couldn’t forget you if I tried, and I’m not stupid enough to do that” he whispered pecking Justin on the lips quickly as the doors began to open again.
Justin walked Josh to his car. “I’ll talk to you soon baby.” He said leaning into the window. JC brushed a finger along the stubble on Justin’s jaw. Justin held his hand and kissed his palm softly licking it slightly. “Baby J…”
“I know I’ll stop, I’ll be good…you get going” Justin laughed.
JC backed out and drove away slowly, honking the horn as he turned the corner.
Justin settled into the drivers seat of his SUV. Trace watched him with raised eyebrows but not asking any questions.
They drove the first two hours eating the chicken and listening to CD’s. Justin pulling into a rest area so they could both use the restroom and stretch before switching drivers.
They stopped Trace getting out at his house heading inside and Justin drove the rest of the way to his mom’s.
“Hey mom I made it in” he called out as he entered.
“Justin! Honey you’re early aren’t you?” she asked kissing him on the cheek and hugging him.
“Yea just a little we left earlier than we said.”
“Oh ok, well I have some mashed potatoes and pork chops if you’re hungry, left overs, Paul should be home soon he had a late meeting.
Justin followed his mom to the kitchen dropping his backpack with change of clothes on the couch.
“Oh mom I need to use the phone first almost forgot!” he said picking up the kitchen phone. He pulled the paper from his back pocket and dialed the numbers.
“Justin?” a voice answered.
“Hey you…how’d you know it was me?” Justin smiled.
JC laughed. “Caller ID sweetie, it says your mom’s house so I assumed it was you”
“Well I was calling like I promised…we made it safe and sound”
“I’m glad…I already miss you ya know” JC said softly.
“I’ve only been gone 4 hours baby!” Justin chuckled.
Lynn’s eyes darted to her son from across the kitchen.
“Uh oh baby…hold on a sec” He pushed a button on the phone before hanging up the receiver.
“Baby you hear me?”
“Yea hun, what did you do?” JC asked.
”I got you on speaker phone….Josh say hi to my mom. Mom, say hi to Joshua, my boyfriend!” Justin smiled brightly.
“Justin! Are you serious!” Lynn squealed. Justin laughed. “Yea Momma.”
“Well hello Joshua its nice to talk to you!” she laughed.
“Uh…hi Mrs. Harless” he said shyly.
“Oh sweetie none of that Mrs. Harless stuff, call me Lynn!” she insisted.
“Ok, Lynn…well Justin…” he started. Justin picked up the phone smiling at his mom as she put a plate on the table for him.
“Yea baby?”
“Am I off speaker?” JC asked hearing the change in Justin’s voice on the line.
“Yea hun.”
“Ok well I know you’re tired, get something to eat, rest and I’ll talk to you soon ok baby?”
“Ok Josh, I will, miss you.”
“Miss you to baby J.”
Justin hung up and sat back at the table fielding questions from his mom on where he met Joshua. Was he sure getting involved with a celebrity was a good idea, if he was happy, how were they planning on working everything out.
He answered what he could, finished eating and went to bed in his old room.
