Omega’s
Background
Omega was born in the year 1980
to an average family in the Spanish city of Seville. His mother and father ran a
shop selling all kinds of things that would appeal to tourists. In addition, they
also sold hand-crafted Spanish guitars that his mother made. Their business was very
popular with locals and tourists alike and they made a considerable amount of money from
it. Normally Omega's mother would work late on the guitars so Omega was raised by
his father. At a young age, Omega was care free and had no problems being without
his mother while she worked.
When Omega was six there was a break
in at their shop. Hundreds of thousands of dollars were lost in cash and in damages
during the raid. The group who robbed the store shot his mother when she refused to
open the safe for them. However, she wasn't fatally wounded and managed to call the
police after the robbery group had left. His father was furious at his mother and
slapped her across the face before the police and ambulances arrived for refusing to
invest money in a security system because she insisted that they lived in "a peaceful
city". After his mother was taken to the hospital, his father went out to the
local bar and got drunk on red wine. Omega was left alone, and it wouldn't be the
first time. For roughly the next three years Omega would be left home alone every
night while his mother worked and his father went out to get drunk.
It wasn't until he was nine that his
loneliness finally got some company. His mother gave birth to his little sister
April on ironically April first at 3:32 AM. This was a blessing for Omega since he
had finally gotten the company he wanted. For the next few years there would be
peace in his household as his little sister grew up. After April was 4, the problems
between his mother and father started up again. His father would come home drunk and
his mother would yell at him. Then in a drunken rage, his father would beat his
mother. During this time Omega would hide in the closet with his little sister,
watching himself but not allowing her too.
One night all of that
would end for good. When Omega and his sister were over at a friend's house for the
night, Omega was 16 and April was 9 at the time, their mother and father got into a fatal
accident involving their car and a Concord jet (see Tears of Blood for more). Both
Omega and April were orphaned. Omega gained custody over April and got over 2
million dollars worth of life insurance from his parents. Spain itself also sent
money to Omega and April to support the both of them. The brother and sister pair
took over their old house and Omega took care of April, taking on the roles of both a
parent and a brother. Their relationship grew until they were inseparable.
Two years later Omega met the love
of his life, Draco at the annual spring festival La Feria in Seville. They
quickly fell in love and Omega thought that he had it all. What comes to say is that
when you have it all, you soon loose it and that's what happened to Omega. A
nearby government building was attacked by a group of Basque terrorists who managed to
kill everyone in the building and get away with over 45 million dollars. During the
police chase, Omega had taken April to get some icecream. As the cars sped by one of
the terrorists unleashed a barrage of machine gun bullets, hoping to hit the police cars
in back of him. He missed terribly when the terrorist's car hit a pot hole.
The bullets were sent at the icecream shop, killing almost everyone in range. April
was shot in the chest, falling to the ground. Omega was shot in the arm three times
and didn't die in the incident.
When the cars had passed, Omega
cradled his sister in his arms, crying as her life faded. When her body went limp
and she died in his arms, something inside him snapped. Omega had lost the one
person that meant most to him in his life and the fires of revenge burned in his
eyes. So, without seeking medical treatment for his injuries, he walked off in
search of the terrorists. He eventually tracked them down and broke into their
hideout. He killed each of them in cold blood with his bare hands. The police
arrived shortly after to find him standing on the front stoop, covered in blood, holding
the severed head of the terrorist who murdered his sister. Without warning, he then
managed to kill about 7 officers before finally being captured after being hit with a
series of 9 tranquilizer darts.
He was convicted for his crimes and
instead of being put to death, he was sent to an asylum or "correctional
facility" as they called it after being diagnosed as a serial killer and being
pronounced insane. In the asylum, Omega met up with three other viruses, Weapon,
Axle and Locos. The four of them eventually planned an escape and did so, breaking
free into the outside world. Omega and crew took over an old Spanish castle on an
island, converting it into a base for their new terrorist organization, Omega
Weapon.
Omega himself is what I would refer
to as being rationally insane, that is he is insane but has the ability to rationalize and
think about his actions. He loves to kill and torture anyone who gets in his way or
causes him a problem. He projects an image of fear through his rather grim,
gentleman like attitude. Omega has an obsession for wine, Spanish Red Wine to be
exact and he can be seen drinking it at almost any time. He never gets drunk and the
wine has no effect on his system. He is the cunning leader of Omega Weapon and will
use any violent and dishonest method to get the upper hand in any situation. His
organization is number one on the terrorist list and he takes pride in that fact.
Omega thinks death is the same as life and makes no distinction between the two.
Currently, he is an empty shell of the person he once was. He uses killing to ease
his pain and the more he does it, the better it makes him feel. He kills without
feeling and can do it as an instinct. Besides the fact he uses death to ease
his pain, he will use it more often as a method of strategy. The only thing Omega
hates with a burning passion are rapists. Out of all the beings on the
planet, rapists bother him the most. He has made it his prerogative to kill anyone
who rapes another person because he feels that is one line that should never be crossed.
Besides the fact that Omega loves
red wine, he also has acquired a taste for snake venom, whihc he'll have Axle and Locos
give him on occasion. He is immune to the effects of the venom, not matter what kind
of venom it may be. His skin can secrete venom and so can his claws. Omega's
venom is incurable and can target a specific body system or all body systems at once.
