Osmosis Jones Toys

Now it pains me to say that there was going to be an Osmosis Jones toy line that was supposed to be released at about the same time that the movie was released to video and DVD.  I myself was looking forward to have some new toys to decorate my computer hard drive with however, the company that was supposed to release this great new toy line, Trendmasters, never did.  I wasn't too happy about that since they shattered my anticipations of having a Thrax and Ozzy that I could actually hold *growls*.  The toys first premiered at the 2001 American International Toy Fair on Day 3 out of 3.  I was able to find some images of the toys online (I think it was from ign.com) and they are displayed below.

After seeing these images for the first time, I went on Trendmasters.com to go check them out.  As made obvious from the picture, the Drix toy was going to be able to shoot projectiles from his cannon arm.  Osmosis was filled with cool gooey stuff and I think his gun could shoot water.  The Hemotrooper is one of those toys that you pullback and then it goes forward.  It also had a missile launcher.  Thrax could also be filled with goo (I like goo ^-^) and according to the Trendmasters website, had three interchangeable heads, each with a different expressions.  The Drix head capsules in the back of the Thrax figure pic I think were filled with those little capsules that you put in water and they will turn into little sponges.  There were several other toys besides the ones shown here, I just couldn't get on the Trendmasters website to check them out.  And so, the saga of the Osmosis Jones toy line comes to a sad end.  These seemingly great toys will most likely never be released and the dream of having Thrax stand on my computer hard drive will be gone forever.
