How
Osmosis Jones is like The Matrix
I was sent this intresting e-mail
by my friend Holly. Upon reading it I was like "Wow, I can't believe I didn't
figure this out for myself." So, I decided to post what Holly sent me
here. The original e-mail has been edited and I've added a few things to it, which
are in that pinky color.
From Holly: "I just saw the
first movie for the first time and noticed some odd parralels....TOO many."
Morpheus is played by Thrax's voice
actor, the great Lawrence Fishburne.
The Matrix-y scene in OJ. That one part of the eye fight scene was done in classic Matrix style
"bullet time" which of course made the movie famous and started the whole Matrix
rip off thing in other movies.
Thrax even DRESSES like a Matrix
character. All black and trenchcoat. He actually reminds
me more of Neo in the first one rather than Morpheus dressed like that.
While talking to Morpheus, Agent
Smith compared humans to viruses. (I'm suspicious that Smith had some sort of prophecy
about Fishburne becoming Thrax's voice actor or something.)
Them twins from reloaded. They're
viruses, have dreads and trenchcoats. Nuff said. They also have
sunglasses! Don't forget that! Another thing, they're also the bad guys in
Reloaded and Thrax is the villain in Osmosis Jones. Actually the Twins are programs
not doing what they're supposed to, but when you think about it that's really the same
thing as a virus.
THRAX
FLIES! Well he technically glides but it's the same difference. Neo also flies
in Reloaded and in the end of the first Matrix movie.
THANK YOU HOLLY!
