About the Site

Navigation:
Really simple. To the left of almost all pages is the indexy-thing, which has links to all the major sections of the site. The top banner that says "Forever Blue Skies" will always take you back to the front page. To leave FBS, click the picture of Gentatsu at the bottom of the site features (it's not on all pages though). This will take you to the main index of A Simple Story, my base page. Or go through the links in "Link Info" ^_^

Why:
Because nobody loves Gentatsu enough to make a shrine to him. So I did. I mean it! He was my favorite character from the movie, but noone makes webshrines for the movie characters. I felt like I had to. Everyone ignores this sensitive, intellegent young samurai. Well not anymore!

How:
As with any other shrine, it started with pictures. I collected all the pictures of Gentatsu I could find, and made him an image gallery. It went from there. Originally, the pages were typed either in Word or in the Angelfire Web Shell (a very good shell, if you ask me, by the way), but I do my work in Frontpage and then touch it up after it's uploaded. Kind of a clunky way to work, huh? All the images are edited in Paintshop Pro 4, and I used Quickskin and Skinner to help with the Winamp skins (and then touched them up in PSP)

Thanks to my computers (Sharon "the downstairs computer" and Aoi "the upstairs computer"- my baby) and programs, of course. Special thanks go to all the sites I got images from, which are in the links, and to my friends- Sophie for watching the movie with me, even if we didn't make it through the whole thing in those early morning sessions; Scott for the tape (which was TJs but I borrowed ^_^;;;), Mushi-chan, for use of his computer at school and for putting up with me; and Jay, for making me ask myself "Why Gentatsu?" (that's like saying "Why Phibrizo?", or "Why Koyasu?" Just because they're so cool, a'ight!?) And special love to everyone who's written to me, either by email or in the guestbook.

Update, 2-3-05: I don't for the life of me remember if I did anything last year... Anyways, I'm just playing with the dowloads page a bit today. Nothing special.

Update, 1-28-2004: 1 new image in images2, and a new essay in Extras. Do you know what this means? A real update for a change!!!

Update, 11-5-2003: Fixed a problem in the CSS that was making the index look funny. Also fixed the Sasaki shrine and a couple links.

Update, 10-24-2003: Finished uploading to the new space. There's no new content, but some things were tweaked and the webrings were fixed.
