Basic Info -- Thursday, July 10, 2003
-- I guess if you somehow stumbled upon this site, you've obviously noticed that the links in the nav bar aren't even activated, and you probably don't know what kind of content to expect from this site. I thought I'd provide an example of some of the things I'd like to do. For example, the first game I intend on covering is Super Mario World, one of the all-time classics for the SNES.
Here are some of the things that I'd like to cover in that game:

  • A complete walkthough (HTML version with screenshots, and a printable text version)
  • How to access and complete all secret levels
  • The location of all of the Yoshi (Dragon) Coins
  • An enemy guide
  • A boss guide
  • Complete stage maps so you can explore every last nook and cranny
  • Any other tips, secrets, bugs, or tricks
  • A section for visitors to submit their own tricks, secrets, or (probably text-only) walkthroughs
That sounds pretty ambitious, but I really think that I can make it happen over this boring summer. I'm always learning programming, too, so maybe I'll be able to code message boards and registrations...maybe. Maybe contests and stuff will be possibilities, too. Anyway, that's all down the road, and for now, I'm just getting basic things finished.

Sexy Background Added -- Wednesday, July 9, 2003
-- Thanks to Solid Snake 919 for the cool background. It adds a "cool" feeling to the color scheme, so the white isn't so blaring. Had to convert some images to the .gif format, but we're good now and the site is looking sexy. So, until I start getting content up, that'll be all for awhile.

We Are Online -- Wednesday, July 9, 2003
-- Hehehe! Finally, SNES Epics is on the Web, and we're all hoping that it's going to become huge! Well, a couple of us are. I (syKopianist) and my buddy (Solid Snake 919) are hoping to be able to offer something extra to the general public. We'll see how everything turns out over the next month or so, and maybe I'll learn Perl and SQL to be able to have custom forums and memberships and so forth. Anyway, that's all for now, and you'll hear back from me or Snake soon enough, I'm sure.
