Welcome to The Dumpling Network, one of the few websites devoted to the promotion of the humble dumpling. Why the snazzy buildings in the background? I hear you ask. Well, I think the existence of this website is enough to tell you-It is my aim to bring dumplings into the twenty first century because right now they are stuck in the middle ages and Eastern Europe. What, I ask you, did your ancestors eat before potatos and tomatos were common foodstuff? The answer is of course dumplings, not by themselves but to accompany a meal. Dumplings, you see come in many forms, from the tiny Hungarian Tarhony to the mighty Czech kndelky. Nor are dumplings confined only to the savoury plate of main courses, no, there is a vast range of dumplings in desserts including the Eastern European staple plum dumlings and the Southern Croatian treat "peaches" I hope in time to expand this site to include recipes and feedback as well as suggestions from readers, in the meantime welcome to the world of dumplings!
