It is controlled by the adrenaline amount that goes through their bodies at that time.”
“Oh. So if they are really scared then it gets higher?” Goku asked.
“That’s right,” King Kai responded.
“So it’s a defensive technique huh? That’s kind of weird that he could generate so much power considering Vegeta has very little ki energy. I bet he’ll be his normal self in no time,” Goku said.
“No Goku. SL energy has never been transferred to Ki energy before. In fact most people that have this don’t even realize it and are unable to use it to help them attack or fight. Vegeta’s ki will remain the same regardless of how strong his SL energy is,” King Kai said looking to Goku.
“I see.”
“Goku, this is important. Since you are going to be taking Vegeta to Earth with you, it will be your responsibility to keep him under control. You saw what he did to this planet when he was in danger; imagine what would happen if you were unable to stop him. He could accidentally hurt someone, even kill them. You must keep him calm no matter what the circumstances are, understand?”
Goku nodded and then turned his head to look back at Vegeta, “I hope everything goes well tomorrow.”
“For the sake of planet Earth, so do I,” King Kai responded.
Vegeta slowly opened his eyes. Realizing he could see out of both of them he quickly sat up. He didn’t even flinch; his body…his body didn’t hurt anymore. Vegeta touched his face; he couldn’t believe he could see out of both eyes again. He had forgotten what it was like to have two eyes; he no longer felt like he had a blind side. Vegeta then moved his hands from his face and looked down at them. They were perfect, not even a scratch. He stared down quizzically at them and then realized his clothes were new as well. Touching the material he wondered how he was cured. He then took off his left glove to inspect his hand; maybe it had been cured too.
As he took off the new glove he saw the old one still under it. The bones from his fingers were still showing from where the skin that had melted off in the fire. Vegeta sighed; so not all of him was fixed. The pain in his hand began to return so he quickly put the new glove back on. He then stood up; he could stand without flinching; His legs feeling much better than before. As he began stretching he noticed a man standing a little ways from him. He had his back turned to Vegeta.
Vegeta stared at him for a moment before responding sharply, “Where am I?”
“Welcome Vegeta. I am Lord Kaio,” the man said as he slowly turned around and looked at Vegeta.
“Kaio?”
“That is correct. I trained Goku a long time ago.”
Vegeta thought to himself then it came to him, “Kaio…the Kaio fighting style.”
“Yes. I see you remember it,” King Kai said quietly.
Vegeta looked around. The planet was relatively small. There was one tree, which he noticed Goku sleeping under. Vegeta scoped out the planet as King Kai watched him. King Kai was amazed that Vegeta had such good eyesight at night. But then he figured that his eyes had to of improved from being in the darkness for so long.
“Vegeta. I need to speak with you about tomorrow,” King Kai said sternly, looking at Vegeta.
Vegeta shifted his eyes to King Kai as he crossed his arms, “Tomorrow?”
“Yes. Tomorrow you will be going with Goku to Earth. I must tell you about your new characteristics. You are going to find that you have changed a lot since you’ve been in Hell.”
Vegeta nodded, “I feel different. My eyes are better in the dark.”
“That isn’t the whole thing that has improved. You must remember three things not to do while on Earth. The first, you must be able to control your anger. It is imperative that you do not start a fight while on Earth.”
Vegeta smirked, “Why not?”
“Upon leaving Hell you have inherited demonic traits. You are no longer a victim of that horrible place Vegeta, no matter how many times you go back. Your new demonic side finds great pleasure in fighting. Like your Sayian background, it will become excited at the chance of destroying or killing. You must not let it take control of you less you end up doing something horrific.”
