Vegeta struggled, gripping Image Goku’s hands which were cutting off his supply of air. Even dead, Vegeta still felt the need to breathe and could still feel pain, something that confused even him from time to time. Image Goku tighten his grip as Vegeta began coughing and spitting up blood. The blood came out of his mouth as he began to choke on it, gasping for air. Image Goku just smiled at him deviously.
“Kakarott…what…what are you doing??” Vegeta choked out.
Image Goku did not respond. Goku watched as Vegeta struggled and took a step to help him but then stopped himself, realizing that this was part of the test. He did not understand for what Vegeta was being tested on but he would not allow himself to interfere.
Lord Enma waited for a short moment but then shook his head. He then pushed a button opening a spot on the floor below Vegeta. Vegeta could feel the heat underneath him.
‘He’s going to throw me back into hell,’ Vegeta thought.
He reached out and grabbed Image Goku’s shirt trying to plead with him to stop. He didn’t understand why Kakarott would save him only to throw him back.
“Kakarott…please…” Vegeta choked out.
Image Goku held him up high and tightened his grip, smiling as he heard the bones in Vegeta’s neck begin to snap. Vegeta winced and opened his eyes reaching out for Image Goku.
“…Goku…” Vegeta responded softly feeling extremely weak as his grip began to fade from Image Goku’s shirt.
Image Goku smirked deviously but was met with a forceful kick to the head. He dropped Vegeta who fell a few feet away, just missing the opening. Image Goku staggered forward and fell in instead; the opening closing quickly behind him. Goku landed and stood there. Lord Enma stood up and glared at him hotly.
“GOKU!” Lord Enma yelled, “What are you doing?! Vegeta has learned nothing and deserves to go back. I will not give an unbroken ego any severance. Now stop it this instant!!”
“He deserves a chance! And he is broken!! I have never heard Vegeta say my name before. That has to prove something! I refuse to let him go back,” Goku protested turning to looked back at Lord Enma.
“You dare defy me?”
“I am not defying anyone; I just think you aren’t being very fair,” Goku said.
Lord Enma looked at Goku for a long time then shifted his glance to Vegeta who lay still on the ground. He shook his head and sat back down. Goku looked up at him hastily.
“I do not have time to deal with you today Goku. Take him and go. You have one day to get your affairs in order and then you are to go see Baba to take you to Earth,” Lord Enma said.
With that he continued his work, ignoring Goku. Goku smiled and turned, picking up Vegeta he waved as he used his instant transmission to go back to King Kai’s planet.
