Lord Enma looked at him, “Goku, explain something to me. Why on Earth do you want to help Vegeta so much? He doesn’t even like you.”
“I know. But I think he deserves a little something for helping me out on occasion. Besides, I think he likes me…he just doesn’t show it too well,” Goku said with a shrug.
Goku looked at Lord Enma with pleading eyes. Lord Enma looked back at him for a moment then responded with a low sigh of approval. Goku got a huge smile on his face as he floated back down to the ground.
“Okay. But only on ONE condition,” Lord Enma said.
Goku looked at him inquisitively. Lord Enma passed a few more spirits and then responded, “Vegeta must suffer for 8 years, then you will have to go find him on your own and bring him back here. If I see that he has suffered properly then I’ll let you both go for the day. But after that he comes right back and goes straight to hell to serve his sentence, understand?”
Goku stopped for a minute counting on his fingers and then responded with a laugh, “Isn’t that more than one condition?”
Lord Enma glared at him as Goku raised his hands in both protest and apology. He then gratefully thanked him and took off heading back to King Kai’s place.
