Chapter Four: The War Begins

Vegeta and then general stood there for a long time without saying a word to each other. The general then raised his hand as his army suddenly prepared.

“Kill him,” he said coldly.

The army suddenly attacked. As they did, Vegeta disappeared. The Centurians looked around quickly trying to find where their opponent had disappeared to. EA looked as well but then looked up to see Vegeta hovering over them. Vegeta didn’t waste any time; he lowered his hands, palm out, facing the ground and fired a large blast into the army. EA’s eyes widened as the ground lit up, the men screaming.
Vegeta watched as the dust settled only to find himself a bit shocked. EA’s jaw dropped as he saw the army was still standing, almost as if it hadn’t been touched, and in fact had increased in size.

“What??” Vegeta questioned.

Vegeta stared down in disbelief. The general looked up at him and smiled. He pointed up as his men realized the Saiyan was in the sky. They pointed their weapons upward and fired. Vegeta dodge quickly and reappeared inside the group attacking them from the inside out. EA watched in awe as the Saiyan Prince was single-handedly taking out the entire Centurian army.
Within a matter of seconds all the men lay dead on the ground. Vegeta stood in the midst of them panting slightly from the excessive amount of work he had to do. He then straightened up from his fighting stance and looked at the general.

“Now, it’s your turn,” Vegeta said sharply. The general only laughed at him and pointed behind him, “I think you still have your work cut out for you Prince.”

Vegeta looked at him suspiciously and then shifted his eyes back to see the army he had destroyed was suddenly standing before him; and in increased numbers.

“What the hell is this??” Vegeta exclaimed.

EA watched not sure whether to go get the army of his men or to help Vegeta. The army had surrounded Vegeta. Vegeta stood there in a fighting stance, shifting his eyes from side to side waiting for the first strike. EA realized that there was no way he’d be able to take them all on by himself.
Knowing this EA jumped from the hill. The army noticed him and backed away as he flipped and landed beside Vegeta. He got in a fighting stance as well as the two of them went back to back.

“What is going one here?” Vegeta asked him cautiously watching the army as they approached.

“I told you it wasn’t that simple,” EA said.

The army attacked again and both EA and Vegeta fought them back once more. Vegeta blasted the majority of them away, and again, when the army had fallen, he turned and looked at EA. EA stood there panting, shifting his glance to Vegeta.

“You know, we can beat them up as much as possible,” EA paused to take a breath.

“Let me guess, it only gets worse each time,” Vegeta said dryly.

EA nodded and turned to see the army suddenly reforming once more. The limbs and body parts that had been removed from some soldiers suddenly began to form new soldiers. Vegeta and EA both watched as the entire army reformed before their eyes.
Fed up and tired of putting up with the nonsense, Vegeta powered up to Super Saiyan. EA’s eyes widened as he saw Vegeta’s hair flash from black to gold, his eyes from black to green. Startled he backed up a bit. It startled the army as well as they backed up too. The general however, was not fazed by the trick and once again ordered for the attack to continue. Once again Vegeta blasted the area and once again the soldiers constantly returned. Vegeta discovered that even the general himself had the power to regenerate and create copies of himself.
Vegeta tried everything; from blasting them away to fighting every single one of them. The only thing he managed to gain from his fighting was battle wounds. As the other soldiers arrived to help they were all but destroyed.
