Vegeta stared into its red eyes as it pointed a long arm at him, its claw almost touching his face, inches from his nose.
“It is your entire fault!” the demon said.
“My fault?” Vegeta questioned as he watched the presence disappear into the air.
“Yes, ever since you left, there has been nothing but trouble!” another voice said as the presence appeared to his side and then disappeared.
“You have destroyed hell!” the third said as he appeared upside down in front of Vegeta staring at him.
The three demons then appeared on the ground in front of him. Vegeta looked at them. They were smaller than he was yet it was taking all his will power to not tremble in their presence. Why was he so afraid of beings so much smaller than himself? He could crush them with one ki blast if he wanted. Vegeta crossed his arms and he stared down at them. They were hideous, things that made little children cry in fear. Things that would cause even the strongest of hearts to become weak and pale. They were gray, almost black and they blended with shadows. Their forms seemed to melt almost as if they were smoke or liquid. They had no true form and they could shape shift to whatever they felt like. The only definite thing about them was their eyes. The devious red seemed to change shades as they stared into Vegeta. He felt as if they were ripping his soul right out of him and as he continued to stare into the crimson looking back at him he found that his whole body froze almost as if their eyes had paralyzed him.
“What should we do with you?” one asked approaching him.
For some reason Vegeta felt a fear sweep over him. He felt as if he needed to defend himself, as if he was being accused of a crime that he did not commit. And for the most part he was correct in his thinking. But he still could not comprehend how he could have feared something so small.
“I haven’t done anything,” he responded as he stared down at the demon.
“YES YOU HAVE! LOOK AROUND YOU! THERE IS NO BLOOD! THERE IS NO FIRES! YOU HAVE TAKEN HELL!!” the demons yelled at him.
They jumped up and disappeared. One appeared on his shoulder pushing his cheek to turn him around. As Vegeta did he realized that the ravine he had been in was nothing more than the fire pit they had thrown him in earlier. It was all gone. They were right. There were no fires, there was no blood, there were no bodies; nothing but bones, emptiness and silence. Vegeta stood there as he felt his arms lower to his sides. One demon appeared on his arm, taking his knife and slicing into the flesh. Vegeta jerked from natural habit but when he looked the wound was just like someone had cut a hole through a stuffed animal or a piece of paper; that was just it, it was just a hole. There was no blood; there was no pain from the wound. Vegeta did not understand and the demons could tell. The one on his shoulder hovered in front of him.
“Your friend came and took it all away. He stole it from us. He stole the very thing that we were created to live in and work for. He stole our hell and took it somewhere else!”
“I don’t know what you are talking about. I have no friends!” Vegeta snapped as he stood there staring at the demon.
Their eyes locked as the other two demons stood at his feet; the first, still hovering in front of him, stared into his eyes. The demon then smirked as he looked at Vegeta. Vegeta remained the same; expressionless.
“Why are you here?” the demon asked.
Vegeta raised an eyebrow as he looked at the presence in front of him. That was a good question and in all truth he had no idea. He did not even know how he had come to be down here. The other two from the ground suddenly started laughing when they saw Vegeta’s expression. It was clear he had no clue.
“He’s double dead!” one shrieked as it disappeared and appeared on his shoulder, “You are not wanted!”
“Ooooo maybe he did something bad,” the other said from the ground.
“Or good… which was it?” the second said as it grabbed his face and turned it towards him, looking at him.
“I don’t know what you are talking about!” Vegeta yelled jerking his head away from the demon’s grasp.
“Does your friend not like you?” the one from the ground questioned.
“I have no demonic friends!” Vegeta snapped as he grabbed the second demon and threw him off his shoulder.
