The rain slowly and quietly fell to the ground as Vegeta flew over the woods searching for Goku. He couldn’t feel his ki. Goku as well as everyone else had always shielded their ki to defend themselves, so it was now done subconsciously. Vegeta cursed under his breath for them to even learn that trick as he realized how hard it was to find someone when you needed to talk to them. Vegeta landed in the woods and looked around. Maybe there was a sign that Kakarott was around. He walked through the rain, his eyes shifting from side to side as he started to use all his senses to track the Saiyan.

He finally found Goku. Goku had fallen asleep under a tree just like Vegeta had pictured in his mind. He had a big leaf that he was holding over him that was keeping the rain off of him. As funny as the scene should have been Vegeta did not laugh nor did he find it humorous. He stared at Goku for a long time wondering if he was going to wake up and realize that Vegeta was there. However, the events of the day had tired Goku a lot to the point where he was out cold and in a dead sleep. Vegeta did not want to touch him or take him back to his house. That would wake him up and then he’d have to hear him. Vegeta shifted his eyes to the horizon and judged that morning would be coming soon. He decided he would wait for Goku to wake up on his own, and then he would yell at him for being so stupid to sleep out in the rain. Vegeta looked around and found a rock to sit on. He didn’t care if the rain fell on him; after all he was already wet from flying through it to find Goku. He sat there and watched the Saiyan sleeping under his leaf, his eyes burning into him. It wasn’t long until Vegeta began to drift off as well. Pretty soon he was asleep in a slumped over sitting position on his rock.

As the sun started to come up, Goku started to wake up. He yawned and stretched as he lay under his leaf. He then opened his eyes letting them adjust. He felt well rested, even if he was a little damp from lying on the ground. Goku shifted and sat up, his leafy blanket falling to his side. He yawned and stared in front of him only to see Vegeta sitting there asleep. Goku stared at him blankly. What was Vegeta doing here? Had he been there all night? Goku wondered how come he hadn’t woken him up. If he had known Vegeta was coming he would of found another leaf for him too. Goku stood up and stretched letting the sun warm his face as he walked over to Vegeta. Vegeta was cold and wet and tired as he sat there in a relaxed sleep. Goku thought for a second but then decided as he nodded to himself. He leaned down and gently picked Vegeta up, holding him in his arms. Vegeta, who was still asleep, leaned against him, resting his head against Goku’s chest as he felt himself being repositioned. Goku walked very slowly before he started to hover into the air. He didn’t want to wake Vegeta up. Vegeta would just yell at him and tell him to put him down.

Goku flew slowly back to the Capsul Corp. He kept his focus on the horizon in front of him as he flew occasionally looking down to make sure Vegeta was okay. The gentle breeze and the warm sun warmed them both as Goku soon found his way to the Capsul Corp and then landed. As he entered the house he searched for Bra’s ki, but as usual, she was already gone. He walked slowly as he made his way inside and up to Vegeta’s room.

Once he was in there he walked across the carpeted floor and to Vegeta’s bed. He gently lay Vegeta down. Feeling himself being repositioned again, Vegeta shifted a bit and then rolled over on his side. Goku backed away as he watched and then quietly walked out of the room to let the Prince rest.
