Goku stood at the front steps of the Capsule Corp. Many years had past since he had been there last. It seemed like time had stood still for the building for its appearance had not changed one bit. Goku had flown over from his house in the woods. He stood there thinking to himself. Lots had changed since he had last seen Vegeta. Goku felt very sorry for him.
‘He must be very lonely in there; all by himself in that huge house. Vegeta, today will change for you. Today I have come to tell you something very important.’
Goku swallowed nervously as he raised his finger and gently pushed the doorbell. The sound echoed through out the house as Goku stood outside patiently. It was several minutes before the door opened. Vegeta stood there with a towel around his neck, in nothing but sweatpants insinuating that he had jumped out of the shower to come downstairs to answer the door. Seeing Goku’s familiar face Vegeta frowned and slammed the door shut. Goku winced and then knocked again. There was a pause. Goku could tell Vegeta was inside by the door. He leaned up to the door and spoke to it as if he was coaxing it to open.
“Vegeta, please open the door. I have to tell you something important,” Goku said.
There was a longer pause before the door opened again. Vegeta, letting out a frustrated sigh, stood there with his hand gripped on the doorknob, ready to slam it again at any second. Goku leaned back and stood up straight as he looked at Vegeta. He then smiled, thankful that Vegeta was going to listen to him.
“Well hurry up. I don’t have all day,” Vegeta snapped as he eyed Goku.
“Vegeta, I was wondering if I could stay with you for a day or a week or a month,” Goku said, his voice trailing off at the end.
Vegeta looked at him and narrowed his eyes, “No.”
He then went to shut the door again, but Goku moved and placed his foot to keep it open. Vegeta glared at him as Goku placed his hand on the door. He then entered and looked around. Vegeta watched him angrily ready to smack the shit out of him for coming in without asking.
“KAKAROTT! GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!” he yelled watching Goku.
“Please Vegeta! I won’t be any trouble!” Goku pleaded as he looked around, “I sit in that chair and never move!” Goku said as he pointed to a chair.
Vegeta stared at him skeptically. Goku then gave him a faint smile realizing that what he had just suggested was very improbable so he added to it, “well not much.”
Vegeta stood there. The last thing he had ever wanted to do was have Kakarott living in his house. He stared at Goku hotly as Goku returned his stare with pleading eyes. Vegeta pulled the towel from his neck and twisted it in his hands, fidgeting a bit as he tried to find something good to say.
“Why do you have to stay with me Kakarott? Of all the places, why do you want to stay with me?” Vegeta asked.
“Well, Chi-chi kicked me out of the house. I figured you might want some company,” Goku said as he looked down at his feet.
Vegeta smirked as he teased, “What did you do this time?”
Goku did not look at Vegeta as he quietly responded, “I fell in love with someone else.”
This was all too good for Vegeta. The noble great and all mighty Kakarott had finally fallen from his high standard of grace. He had been kicked out of his house. Vegeta was swimming in the hilarity of it all, and Kakarott’s expression while he told his story; PRICELESS! Vegeta wished he had a camera as he watched what he thought looked like a defeated expression.
“So, Kakarott has finally failed,” Vegeta taunted as he watched Goku.
Goku smiled lightly as he looked to Vegeta, “Well no one is perfect.”
Vegeta couldn’t argue with that logic so he just stared at him. Goku then gave Vegeta another look, his eyes reminding Vegeta that he had yet to give him an answer. Vegeta thought for a few more minutes before letting out a sigh.
“Stay out of my way,” he said as he traveled back upstairs to finish his shower.
Goku’s eyes lit up as he watched Vegeta head upstairs. He was going to let him stay! Goku was so happy he didn’t know what to say. He just smiled as he watched Vegeta leave him. He knew he would have to be extra careful to make sure that he didn’t put Vegeta in a bad mood. After all he didn’t want to make him angry. Goku walked outside and picked up his pack he had hid behind one of Vegeta’s bushes. He brushed it off and then carried it inside with him.
