Much of my work stems from my philosophical beliefs, my own arguably adolescent desires, and my study of occult subjects. I feel that the expression of these ideas, especially in the form of imagery, stimulates the public imagination on both a conscious and subconscious level, awakening within an interest, or at least an awareness of possibilities beyond the world of sunlight and sterility. The work also serves my need to have these images exist; in seeking a means to decorate my own home, such work is rare or difficult to come by. By the means of creation and a fertile imagination, I can surround myself with images and ideas which I find enjoyable and comforting.
I consider myself somewhere between a realist and surrealist, with most of my occult imagery leaning toward the surreal. I am influenced by HR Giger, Salvador Dali, Da Vinci, Stubbs, Fuseli, Boguereau, Degas, Manet, Renoir, Toulouse-Lautrec, as well as a myriad of modern "pop" artists, illustrators, and comic artists. My goal as an artist is to make my work accessible to the public on a number of levels, to keep people talking and guessing, and to exercise (not exorcise) the many demons within.
Many of the images below are available as stickers, T-shirts, or poster prints through my Cafe Press shop. Simply click the "mechandise" link to see what is available. The funds raised through the sale of artwork helps to keep this site up and running, so if you see something you like, make a purchase.
