This photograph shows the gates to the Mount Felix estate when it was in operation as New Zealand General Hospital No.2. In the Background the Union Jack and the flag of the Red Cross can be seen flying. The square tower is visible in the background. This photographs gives us some idea of the size of the estate.
The gates today (April 2001). If the path is followed around the back of the office building, one reaches the clock tower. A car garage stood on the site prior to these offices being built.
