WU-TANG CLAN BIO.................
The Wu-Tang Clan is made up of 10 rappers.
The RZA,The GZA,Method Man,U-God,Masta Killa,Cappadonna,
Inspecta Deck, Raekwon The Chef,Ol'Dirty Bastard,
Ghostface Killa. Wu-Tang originally started wit 9 members but after the album "Wu-Tang Forever" Cappadonna joined. Wut alot of people dont know is that there are over 50 members in the WU-Tang clan because Wu-Tang is a gang. Its jus that those 10 guys are a band. Guys like 62nd Assasian,Redman,Streetlife,Killa Priest etc... but those guys do thier own thing.The clan started back in 1993 when they came out wit their first album "Enter The Wu-Tang:
36 Chambers. The first hit of the album was "Protect Ya Neck" wich too me is like the greatest song of all time. Hit's on the album include "Protect Ya Neck"
"M.E.T.H.O.D Man", "C.R.E.A.M", "Da Mystery Of Chessboxin". C.R.E.A.M is a song bout the clans life story because they all had messed up lifes. The RZA's mom never even had a bank account until after the success of "Enter The Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers. They were very poor kids, thats why they had to sell drugs to live and get by. Method Man's parents split up jus like everyone else is the clan. U-God's song got shot in the back and U-God got shot him self. The clan had made a deal wit thier record company "Loud Records" that they could sign wit other companys and do solo albums as well. In 94 Method Man was the first Wu member to drop a solo album.
The album was titled "Tical". Tical is what Method Man calls weed. The album went plantnium and that was the album that made Method Man big. Too most people Method Man was the most favourite Clan member. Hits from "Tical" include "Bring Da Pain" one of the greatest hip-hop hits of all time and it is even on the 8 mile soundtrack. And his duet wit Mary J Blige as well. In 95 Ol' Dirty Bastard droped his solo album titled " Return To The 36 Chambers. The album did very well. The song
"Brooklyn Zoo" was a big hit. In 97 the Wu-Tang Clan droped thier 2nd album " Wu-Tang Forever". The album had 2 cd's. The first hit of the album was " Triumph".
In 98 Method Man droped his 2nd solo album
" Tical 2000: Judgement Day" wit songs such as
"Judgement Day" and the big luv/hate song " Break Up's To Make Up's" feat. D' Agelo. Not to long after the Wu-Tang droped another album called " The Wu Chronicals".
In 2000 they droped the album called "The W"
The first hit was " Protect Ya Neck (The Jump Off)"
and "Gravel Pit" was a good hit as well. In 2001 they droped their album called " Iron Flag". The Wu-Tang Clan will be dropin a new album as well. And in mid way 2003 Method Man will be dropin a new album as he is still ridin of the succses of his duet album wit Redman back in 99 called " Blackout!". U can d/l Method Mans new jam called " Uh-Huh". Wu-Tang Clan is inspired by Japenese Karate Movies. They got thier name of a Ancient Chinese gang back 1000 years ago.
And Wu-Tang will always be one of the most powerful hip-hop/rap bands of all time and they still got a long ride to go.....
GHOSTFACE KILLAH
Ghostface is the half brother of Raekwon The Chef. He is a diabetic so he cant smoke weed or drink anymore. Ghostface is a really good rapper. His high pitched fast voice makes u wanna listen to the music non stop. He has very hardkore lyrics and is a Wu-Tang member that you can tell from anywhere.
THE RZA
The RZA is "The Abbot" of the Wu-Tang Clan. The Abbots means like the guy who gives the most advice and guides the wu-tang. But he aint the leader because the Wu-Tang are all induvual leaders. Of all time The RZA was rated the 4th powerfullest guy in the hip-hop indusrty. The RZA produces all the Wu-Tang albums and produces all the solo albums. He plays a big part in the Wu-Tang Clan
METHOD MAN
Personally Method Man is my favourite rapper. Method Man A.K.A Johhny Blaze is pretty much the most popular clan member. People started likin him after he had his own show case track on wu's first album. The song was called " M.E.T.H.O.D Man" and was the second hit of the album. Born and raised in brooklyn New York. Meth-tical stared in the comedy movie "How High" wit his partner Redman. Method admits that back in the day he was a hustler, he sold cocaine and even did it himself. But he jus smokes weed now. He has done songs wit all kinds of rappers like 2pac,Notorius B.I.G,Nas,Ja Rule,DMX,Limp Bizkit,X-ZIBIT and the list goes on. He is respected by alot of rappers. Now he is 31 and married. Method Man A.K.A Johhny Blaze's real name is Clifford Smith.
THE GZA
The GZA is the oldest Wu-Tang member. The GZA, The RZA and Ol' Dirty Bastard are all cousins and are the 3 guys that started the Wu-Tang Clan. The GZA and Ol'Dirty sorta have the same voice and hits kinna hard to tell, but if ur a tru Wu-Tang fan you can tell the diffrence. The GZA had his own show case song on the WU's first album, the track is called " Clan In Da Front". His solo album back in 95 titled " Liqiud Swords" made it to plantnium. The GZA is a real good rapper.
Ol' Dirty Bastard
"Shame On You,When You Step Threw To. The Ol'Dirty Bastard Straight From The Brooklyn Zoo!". That is O.D.B's favourite sayin. Its no question that O.D.B is one of everyones favourite Wu member. He is the funniest one in the band, and he is jus fucked up in the head. Too much drugs. In 98 he was arrested over 10 times.And for awhile was an outlaw because he broke free from an alcohal insitute. But in 98 he saved a child from gettin hit by a car. O.D.B's "Brooklyn Zoo" and "Shimmy Shimmy Ya"
will be hits that no one will ever forget. And who could forget his duet wit Mariah Carey. Wut an odd duel. A song that made O.D.B big as well was
from his album "Nigga Please" the song was titled
"Got Your Money".... "Hey! Dirty! Baby I Got Your Money, Dont You Worry" lol. Of course another song that everyone will remember is " Ghettoo Superstar" wit Mya. O.D.B of course is cuzins wit The GZA and The RZA. Ol' Dirty is jus fucked man lol.
U-GOD
U-God A.K.A Golden Arms is the youngest Wu-Tang member. He only was in 2 songs in the clan's first album. Those 2 songs were " Protect Ya Neck" and
" Da Mystery Of Chessboxin". The reason is because he was in jail when they did most of the recordings. But he was in all the videos. Jus b4 their second album
"Wu-Tang Forever" U-God's son got shot in the back.
On the album the track titled " A Better Tommorow"
is for his son. Luckly his son is still alive.
Method Man says that U-God is a very moody person lol.
U-God now is on all the songs on all the Wu-Tang albums.
MASTA KILLA
Masta Killa is a very wierd person in a way. He is a very good mind reader. If he doesnt know some1 he will study them and see wut they are all about jus buy lookin at them and they way they talk and act. He is a very smart person. In Wu's first album he only appeared in one song "Da Mystery Of Chessboxin".
Due to the fact he as well as U-God was in jail.
But U-God and Masta were not in jail for the same reasons. They had thier own issues. But after that the Masta Killa appeared on every song in every album.
Especailly in the song " In The Hood" from the last album "Iron Flag". Too me i think his part is the best part of the song. And his style is jus so diffrent from other rappers i know. And that is a good thing.
INSPECTAH DECK
Inspectah Deck A.K.A INS Rebel is another reconizible WU member. He is in practiclly all the songs and u can tell him from anywhere. He is an amazin rapper. His solo song "Let Me At Them" is an amazin song.
RAEKWON THE CHEF
Raekwon got his name Chef because his lyrics are soo good and he jus keeps cookin em up, you jus want more and more. It was between Raekwon and Meth who was gunna get to have thier song on the wu-tang album.
They had a freestyle battle and meth won. But not buy too much, it was close. And if u buy methods first album "Tical" there is a track called " Meth VS Chef"
And that is the acutually recordin of them battiling.
Chef's first hit " Ice Cream" sold big time. He is known as the best dressed member in the group lol. Well that is accordin to most people. He is defenilty one of the rappers that stand out.
CAPPADONNA
Cappodona was the last member to join the Wu-Tang clan. Previous years Cappodona had worked wit the Wu-Tang Clan. But after they featured him on the track titled " Truimph" he decided to join the band.
Cappodona and Ghostface Killah kinna have the same voice. But u can tell who is who.
