Some of my fave safe foods:

This is going to be a great page....:) i'm going to eventually have almost every safe food imaginable on here, but for now....you'll have to settle for this : These foods cause your body to burn more calories digesting them than they actually contain...

Lettuce (of course..the original Ana fave) Water (another great ana treat) Skim / Non-fat Milk Grapes Strawberries Oranges I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Spray (0 calories) Apples (try to the apple a day diet!! the pounds melt away!!! quarter an apple and have three "meals" of the quarters and one snack, prefereably at midnight to prevent bingeing Blackberries Blueberries Carrots Cauliflower Grapefruit Broccoli Cabbage Pumpkin Cantaloupe Cherries Peas Pepper Watermelon Tomato plain popcorn RICE CAKES!!! Rasberries Pineapple Cucumber Flounder Mushrooms Onions

Restuarant Safe foods

We all know that ppl around us tend to be nosy...so if you're dragged out somewhere to eat and you don't want them to be suspicious....here's some foods you can eat and not feel too bad about...they'll boost your nutrient levels and don't have too many calories...

Chinese Restaurants:

Dont' Get : anything fried DO get :-dishes that are steamed with sauce on the side. Use the sauces sparingly! Try steamed dumplings. Ask if these can cook the meal with chicken stock insead of oil. or go vegetarian (like me!) and save some lives and order just cooked vegetables and rice

Mexican Restuarants:

DON'T GET : Nachos, Re-Fried Beans, fried quesadillas, fried tortilla shells, avacado dips and other fried dishes. DO GET : Chicken Fajitas, Broiled Fish with salsa, Black Bean soup (make sure they don't add oil) Black Beans And Rice or other dishes that can be baked or broiled. Most tortilla chips at reastaurants are fried. Ask first. If they are, find out if u can have fresh vegetables or bread to dip into the salsa instead of the chips.

Italian Restaurants:

DON'T GET : As with the others, avoid any fried foods such as chicken or veal parmesan and fried calamari. Also avoid dishes with cheese including lasagna, ravioli, tortellini, and manicotti. Avoid Caeser Salad and galic bread with oil. Choose plain italian bread instead. DO GET : pasta with marinara sauce, chicken cacciatore, zuppa di pece, shrimp marinara and any broiled chicken or fish entree. Choose salads with dressings on the side. Steamed vegetables with marinara sauce is also good.

Greek Restaurants:

DON"T GET : Again any dish that is fried or heavily laden with oil. DO GET : Seasoned lamb, shrip or chicken shish kabob, rice with vetables and salad with dressing on the side. With other restaurants not listed above, ask for seafood, chicken or lean meats such as lamb or veal, grilled with no butter or oil. Ask to have sauces served on the side. Have steamed vegetables without butter and substitute salsa, tomato sauce or lemon juice instead. Desserts selections are easy. Choose fresh fruit (plain), sherberts, Italian ices, gelatin or angel food cake with fresh berries (plain) And to get rid of that hunger pain, satisfy your cravings with altoids....3 of them have 10 calories!!! Watch sodium content, as your body can get fatter off of that than something higher in calories with less sodium. And don't starve....eat very small meals...they keep up your metabolism...and keep you from getting too flabby...like me....:(
