This project started more as a matter of necessity. I sold my car and my TL1000R. So I needed some new wheels. The bike was purchased from a military guy that tried his hand at stunt'n and found out the hard way that it wasn't for him. He managed to loop a wheeliy and the bike ran head first into a wall. The front end was tacoed and the plastics were trashed. I had some spare parts laying around the garage, some steel tubing and a garage full of tools. During a hurricane filled weekend I got to work. The front end was replaced with a spare TLR setup I had sitting in the corner. The upper bearing cup of the neck was machined and the whole thing slid right in. The bars are a hand made piece from 1 1/8"steel tube that tapers down to 7/8" with integrated 3" risers. Front master cylinder came from a CBR954 and runs steel braided lines down to 6 pot Tokico's clamping down on 320mm Busa rotors. The neck of the frame also has the fairing mounts shaved. The solo seat subframe is a custom piece made from 1" steel tube that mounts to adjustable Heim joints. There's about an inch of adjustment up and down. The Single sided swingarm comes from a VFR750. The 900RR shock was reused along with the link system with flipped triangles to raise the ride height. Rear wheel is an aftermarket 17x7" car rim meant to fit a 4x100mm bolt pattern, wrapped in 200/55-17 Maxxis rubber. Rearsets are old school Rassk units with LP pegs. Rear brake caliper also comes from a TLR in custom mounts. Engine has a mild tune. The air box has been binned for pod filters. Carbs have been jetted with a stage 7 kit. Spent gases exit through a Yoshimura header and 2" baffled tip. All the electrics have been relocated under seat while the Battery hides in the frame behind the engine. The wiring loom has been cut down to bare bones. Ignition, head and tail light only. Headlight is a Euro spec aftermarket piece. Taillight comes from an '04 ZX10R. Body work is minimal. Tank is stock 900RR. Tail piece is a modified pocketbike tail. Frame, forks, wheels and bodywork has all been painted Black to keep it sleek and mean.

Future plans are to machine custom rearsets and brake fluid reservoirs. New paint and powder coat are also in the works for everything as well.

Thanks: First off, Mom for putting up with my addiction to these things and all the noise that goes along with it. Blue @ www.bluekustoms.com For hook'n a brotha up on the paint and being good friend. The crew at Cycle World and Salvage for the hookup on parts and the shop space to work on it. My girlfriend Michele for being there for me, especially when this thing acts up, and also for her killer photo skills. And anyone that held a wrench while I built this project.
