President’s
Report: |
The Western regional Conference was cancelled for
Debbie and Doug due to the bad weather.
We did receive minutes from the western conference if anyone is
interested. |
|
|
There
is a culinary competition in Vancouver on April 27,2003; anyone
interested please ask Doug for more information. |
|
|
The
50/50 draw will not be held tonight because not 12 people showed up. |
|
|
The Flames game road trip has been cancelled due
to lack of interest; better luck next year we hope. |
|
|
Our
next meeting is on April 2, 2003 at Andrew Hilton for a sherry and
port tasting evening. Should be quite an experience. Hope to see you
there!! |

|
New
website, an ongoing process, if you have any I; anyone interested

We
are looking into a May Golf tournament for the wind up of our year.
We will be passing along more information next meeting. |

The
National Conference in Moncton is at the end of May.
Doug might be going to represent us.

ARFEX-
April 8, 9, 2003 in Calgary. A
cold competition will be held there again this year.
Alvin and Joe will be representing us, hopefully with some of
our students from the Lethbridge college. |

|
Evening
of the Masters- April 11, 2003. A
team Alberta fundraiser. Come out and support our team. |
|
|
|
|
Vice
President’s Report:

The
Presidents dinner and dance has been postponed until further notice.

Report:

We, SAAC decided to keep our archives for 7
years. |
|
|
National finance pictures looks poor. But we are
hoping to have a good year to come. |
|
|
Promised donations to the National for the Vice
President and we also donated for a scholarship at the college. |
|
|
|
|
Education
Director’s Report:
|
Culinary
Careers Advisory Committee meeting scheduled for the first Monday in
May. |
|
|
A new block program is in the works.
We are hoping to get some third year students into this 8-week
program for the summer. For
more information please talk to Chef Mark or Chef Allan. |
|
|
Skills Canada Quorum in Red Deer on Saturday.
New ideas will be discussed. Doug and Charles will be there to
represent our thoughts. |
|
|
|
|
Open
Forum: |
Sysco has a trade show in Medicine Hat on the 9th
of April at the stampede grounds. |
|
|
The Lethbridge College has become the training
site for Rationelle. We
will be sending Rob for training in May.
