Held on 9, October, 2002

 

In Attendance:

Joe Henke, Debbie Clauss, Doug Overes, Natasha Ghostkeeper,  Heng Ng, Todd Bevan, Charles Parker, Mark Dieser, Jordan Harker, Ken Kain, Peggy Charlton, Allen Clampitt

 

Meeting called to order by Doug Overes at 7:20pm

President’s Report:

Went over years agenda and mentioned that
if anyone wants a copy, the agenda will be posted on our website.

 

Elections:  It has been decided that if anyone wants to be apart of the executive, or would like to nominate someone for a position, they should come forward otherwise current positions will remain for another year.  No objections from anyone, no nominations from anyone and all current executives agreed to one more term.

 

The Western Convention in Edmonton is going to take place in the spring.  We may have a van going up.  We will be informed next meeting on dates and times.

 

Website update:  We are currently linking to the LCC Meat store and attaching a product list as well.  We may put Chef Allen’s Menu on once confirmed.  Anyone with suggestions please email Debbie from the website.

 

Congratulations to Jordan Harker, who was selected to go with Team Alberta and Chef Doug to Luxemburg.

 

We have decided to do a 50/50 draw each meeting at the end of the night.  More than 10 people must attend in order for the draw to take place, and the tickets are $2.00 each.  Good luck to all, and congratulations to Todd Bevan our first winner of the year.

 

Our HOST for the evening was “Anton’s”, at the Lethbridge Lodge. Thank-you for your hospitality, everything was great. 

 

Vice President’s Report:           

The Presidents Dinner last year was a big success.  Therefore there will be another one this year.  We are trying to get the Lethbridge Country Club and the Chevelles.  Anyone wanting to volunteer please let Joe Or Doug know.

 

 

 

Secretary’s Report:           

Anyone interested in any mail we receive, please feel free to contact Debbie Clauss @ Chef_Debbie@Clauss.ca

 

 Anyone with a recipe, please email it to Debbie for posting to the website.

Treasurer’s Report:           

2002/2003 dues are now due to Rob.

 

 

 

 

 

Education Director’s Report:           

A farewell to Chef Scott, who moved to Fernie, BC.

 

This has been the best year ever for enrollment.

 

 

The culinary salon held on October 4, 2002 was a big success. Congratulations to all those who entered.

 

Rob Sonnenberg, took a 4-month sabbatical to complete his Bachelor of Science.  Ken Kain took over for Rob temporarily.

Old News:           

Position descriptions are in the works.

 

The subject of Social Director was decided that the entire executive would participate.  A vote to dissolve the position was made, none opposed, all in favor.
