Well, we hold a tribunal, where the charges are brought against the defender. These are ruled over by the Sovereign, the offenders Commander and one citizen chosen at random. These will hear the arguments and decide the punishment.
This is about how slavery works within out lands. There is no forced slavery, you are born into it, sold or a criminal. You can even buy your way out! To abused and treat slaves in a harsh and evil manner is punishable and frowned heavily upon, even can cause you to be the subject of a public beating. A slave, is not just for sexual play, this is not what we want. They are those who need another to care and house them or criminals who are not evil and can be redeemed. In this land, a rich man who has poor looking servants and slaves is seen as a cad and less then a poor merchant who has finely fed and attired slaves.
((First off, all parties involved must be agreed for this In and out of character. To purchase a slave you take there number of dice, sides and multiply it by 40. so a 2d25 slave is... 2 x 25 x 100 =5,000 copper or 5 gold peices. This same formula is used for a slave to save their money and free themselves. This is not Gor! So keep that in mind and all slave and masters must be of 18 years or greater in age.))
