SanDiaoLing is famous for its waterfalls, but I wanted to investigate the abandoned theme park that we walked past on the previous trip. Apparently it had been abandoned after a big typhoon caused a lot of damage back in the early 2000's.

Everything had been left just as it was...right down to tablecloths on the tables, plates in the kitchen and drinks in the machines!
Had to climb up to get there first....
Then of course we had to get tickets to enter.....

This is the first building you would see as you drove into the activity park proper...
....one could stop for a bite at the restaurant...
...looked a fine place to have a meal!!
...so decided to check it out!
...the kitchen was a bit messy! Amazing thing was there were still plates on the shelves.
...upstairs was, well, even worse! Didn't want to risk going in due to the fact that I'd probably fall through the ceiling.
There were still plenty of signposts around to show everyone where to go.
...after fighting our way through some undergrowth we came across the barbeque area.
The drinks machine still had one can left in it...but it had rusted.

This was the first trip with the White Monkeys back in 2010 Classic hike out to view a bunch of big waterfalls swollen by the rains. The first of the big waterfalls Amazing things happened on the trip and Tommy and I grew a set of pig's ears! Video of the trip Took the train from Sh-Fen out into the wilderness and then hiked an easy trail to see some pretty impressive falls and a deserted fun park...shame about the rain but with Tommy around there's always going to be a few laffs!
