Subspecies

I saw that this was a Full Moon film, and I figures I was in for a long 90 minuets. I was right, but it wasn't as bad as some. For a vampire movie, this one kinda dragged, and the villian vampire Radu seemed kinda weak. Combine that with a low body count and no film twists, and it gets rather slow. And the Bloodstone looked like a friggin' push-pop! This isn't what I would call a must see. 1.5 out of 5.

Characters:

• Stefan: Younge zoologist/vampire who returns home to claim the bloodstone.
• Michele: The dumbest heroine ever. And she's not even blonde! 'What? Is that my dead friend who was bitten by a vampire calling me? She must be ok!'
• Radu: Overdramatic older brother of Stefan. Gets decapitated, but spot that he is, he gives us a smile!
• Mara: Foreign chic who is friends with Michele. Chomped.
• Lillian: Another friend of Michele. Gets chomped by a vampire... so they bury her?
• Karl: Old friend and caretaker of Stefan who helps him kill Radu. Knows a lot about how tofight vampires. More of the characters should have listened to him.
• King Vladislav: Stefan and Radu's father. Stabbed early on. Didn't they say the only way to kill a vampire was to decapitate it?
