Return of the Living Dead Part III

A pretty gruesome movie. I'm not a very squeamish person, but even I turned my head once or twice during the self mutilation scenes in this movie. I think this installment of the Living Dead series had more gore than the first two combined. The slow transition Julie made from human to zombie was kind of creepy. We all knew how it was going to end, and we were waiting for that inevitable moment when she crossed over to her zombie side. This movie also went back to it's roots as far as tone went. It was more like the original, which was much darker than Part 2. All in all, I give it a 4 out of 5.

Characters

• Curt: Rebelious teen.
• Julie: Curt's gal. She dies early on, and Curt brings her back to life at his father's military base. gets into some freaky masochism shit when she starts zombiefing.
• Col. John Reynolds: In charge of division responsible for research about the living dead. Also Curt's father.
• River Man: Homeless guy that helps Curt and Julie. Julie eats him for his troubles.
• Col. Sinclair: Takes charge of the zombie affairs after Curt's father is relieved of duty.
• Santos: Leader of the gang. Out to kill julie. She's already dead dipshit! He decides to have sex with her, even though he knows she's disease infested and has nails sticking out every place on her body. His spine is removed by Julie.
• Mogo: Bitten early by Julie. Turns into a zombie.
• Alicia: When Julie attacks her, she decides to climb up a ladder rather than just run back down the open tunnel. Idiot. Chomped on by Mogo.
• Felipe: Lip bit off by Julie and turns into a zombie.

• Security on this base sucks.
• Whats that on the back of your motorcycle kid? Oh, a dead girl? Sure, just drive on into our secret military base.
• Cops shoot at blue vans on sight for no real reason.
• "Don't shoot" really means "shoot me in the head."
