Blade II

I know I'm in the minority here, but I dug this sequel over the original. It had more action, characters, and more depth to it. A few of the characters could have been developed better, but it was still entertaining. I liked the idea of the vampires hiring Blade to hunt for them. Very cool. It also seemed like Blade got more opportunites to kick vampire ass than in the first one, where the action lagged at times. 4 out of 5.

Characters:

• Blade: Vampire slayer who is hired by vampires to hunt a new breed of blood suckers.
• Whistler: Blade's old friend and fellow hunter.
• Nyssa: Vampire chic who eventually falls for Blade. Evaporates into the sunrise.
• Jared: Vampire who is infected with the a virus that makes him deadly to vampires as well as humans.
• Overlord Eli: Elder vampire who looks like a distant relative of the Smurfs. Chomped and dies.
• Scud: Blade's assistant who is a fan of the Power Puff Girls. Turns on Blade and gets blown up.
• Dieter: Vampire with a strong dislike for Blade. Blade slices him in half.
• The Bloodpack: An elite group of vampires who help Blade hunt the new strain of vampires. All of them die ratehr easily.
