Why oh why

Do the good ones have to go

I know God needs them

But it still hurts so

 

Jack was a buddy

To all he did meet

Stopping to talk

Out in the street

 

A good friend to troops

A good friend to all

But then he received

God's mighty call

 

He knew he must answer

But he wasn't done yet

So now he'll carry on

In God's kingdom you bet

 

We'll miss you Jack Sammy

But your legend will live on

In our hearts , we'll carry you

And beyond

 

This isn't goodbye

Jack Sammy my friend

We'll meet again

In Heaven there's no end
