Long ago there was a band of warriors led by an unbeatable honorable warrior known as Marauder. One dark and fateful night the bands healer was brutally and mysteriously mauled. Everyone knew the bands Marauder knew more than he was telling anyone about the attack but turned a blind eye to what was happening. Until one day someone took a stand. Strife one of the generals challenged Marauder to a fight for the whole band to see if Marauder lost strife would force him to tell all he knew about the attack. They squared off and tapped blades traditional of an honor fight but no sooner then they tapped Marauder smashed strife in the side with the flat of his blade making strife collapsed in agony. Marauder told strife that if he didn't mind his own business he would be next to be mauled. Strife left silently that night without telling anyone to seek out true power. In the middle of the night two of the warriors awoke to the sounds of pillaging. The warriors were Belmont and Rennic brothers by blood but complete opposites in weapon styles. They grabbed there weapons and rushed to the origin of the sounds. Strife's room was being ransacked and thrashed by three small demons Belmont and Rennic rushed into the room weapons drawn. One of the demons hastily jumped out of a window and ran off into the night. One of the demons lunged at arsenal but was stopped mid air by a spine crushing blow from Belmont 5 foot sword severing the creatures torso from its waist Rennic quickly lunged at the other creature with his coveted twin daggers the creature swiped at armory's face but Rennic met its swipe with his dagger point piercing through the creatures palm Rennic quickly kicked at the creatures other hand and plunged his other dagger deep into the demons skull the creature instantly went limp and fell to the floor. The severed torso of the second demon franticly struggled to get back up and fight but its attempt was quickly halted as Belmont stomped with all his weight onto the creatures head crushing its skull and squirting its contents all over the floor. Belmont and Rennic quickly decided that they needed to warn Marauder about the demons invading the fortress. As they entered Marauder throne room they where horrified to see Marauder talking to the demon that got away Belmont quickly pulled spear off of the wall and flung it at the demon. It penetrated the demons skull killing it instantly Rennic silently slipped into the shadows of the room. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING" bellowed Belmont. "so you are the ones who interfered in my minions task." Marauder said in an emotionless tone. "You are all to weak to call yourselves warriors. You people are fragile and week your bodies are easily injured and your souls allow for hesitation my new army of demons will be far superior to you fools." "I will not just stand by and let you tamper with the powers of darkness and chaos" Belmont heroically chimed A puff of smoke and a noxious smell filled the room as a demonic blade appeared in Marauder's hand HA "Who will come to your aid when you are begging to end your suffering and take your pathetic life" Marauder boomed "RENNIC WILL" shouted Belmont as Rennic dropped down from the ceiling plunging his daggers deep into leaders back. Belmont took Marauders sudden distraction and charged in blade drawn Belmont slashed brutally at Marauder's chest Marauder caught the blade with his hand and laughed. Belmont fell to the floor from the sudden stop in momentum leaving his sword in his foes hand and his own body slumped on top of the small fiends on the floor. Marauder tossed Belmont's sword aside and continued to try to remove the small pest still clinging to his back who has begun to twist the daggers as he pushes them deeper and deeper into the leaders back. Belmont begins to groan and Marauder puts his attention back to the greater threat and lunges with his sword at Belmont's head. Belmont jerks his head up with an insidious grin as the demonic blade juts into Belmont's head through his right eye. Marauder gasps quickly for air but his deep breaths are giving him no relief Belmont had plunged the same spear that was used to kill the fiend straight through Marauder lung skewering Rennic through the heart as well. Marauder's flesh was rapidly decomposing and falling off the bones leaving a talking skeleton with the two pierced heroes. " I shall return to this realm as a demon myself and to be sure that no one can stop me your souls are coming with me" The leaders body burst into a demonic green flame. Ripping the souls of the two warriors releasing the souls out of the wounds that the weapons where still located. The weapons began to glow the same green color and the soulless warriors skin turned leather hard.the two warriors collapsed into a heap on the floor. YEARS LATER....... The band of warriors is now being led by the returned warrior strife, A mercenary with a mysterious past, and the soulless warrior
